<p>But this aphorism poses a problem when we are taught to value being an Achiever in life and business.</p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">We are on week two of four exploring how to awaken your Shaman within in your business. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>As a business Reiki master, I help others balance the energy, ground and clear the energy of themselves and their businesses to free up flow of cash and clients, as well as a greater quality of life in the process.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Your regular Reiki master's just working on your physical body, your emotional health, but for me I specialize in entrepreneurs and sending healing energy to your business. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">This week in particular we're looking at the power of achieving versus journeying in business.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> I don't know if you've done your strengths finder yet but if you haven't taken that assessment, I highly recommend it. It's extremely insightful for celebrating your strengths as the leader of your teams, as the leader of your business. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong> For me, one of my top five strengths is achiever. So, that means I'm really good at getting shift done. You and me both, aren't we the best at implementing and destroying the checklist and implementing systems. We get so much shift done.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">That's why are such high achieving entrepreneurs, business owners and leaders. But then, the bigger the front, the bigger the back, as they say in ancient Chinese medicine.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong> So, where we're high at achieving, if we're not achieving, it's not going as expected or if it's not having the breakthrough, then what happens to our identity in the process? The great thing about Shamanism is it takes the perspective of honoring the journey especially in the practice of Shamanic journeying.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">That whole experience of going through spaces and having sensory encounters with different people, different animals, different environments, all of that is significant. All of the entire journey, every step along the way is just as significant as the end. There is the old adage of it's not about the destination but it's actually life is about the journey that gets you there.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1"> So this week in particular, you want to be on the lookout for your achiever popping up and really deleting all of the amazing juice that got you to the achievement. How many brilliant leaders have so many things that they've accomplished, and they've barely acknowledged that they've accomplished them before they're off to the next thing.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> The flip side of that emotionally and, I don't know who I'm speaking to, but I could feel you watching through the camera right now, the flip side of that is that we end up feeling like we're never doing enough. We touched on that last week. We're never really feeling like we're fully connected or fully satisfied because we're on to the next, on to the next, on to the next.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> So this week in particular, the Guides are asking you to adopt the journey-centric mindset as opposed to the achievement-centric mindset. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>I know a lot of us tend to base our success off of the sense of how much can I get done, how many clients can I make, how many dollars can I win, how many connections can I make? If you're out networking, how many business cards can I grab, right?</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Life is the journey that brings you to those achievements, and the more you can appreciate what you have, the more good you will attract. That is the way the universe works. I'm hearing the Oracle Cards calling in the energy. Earth Magic, let me come in closer for this part. Earth Magic by Steven D. <p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1"> Most of the stuff here has actually been gifts including this space, so thank you so much for all your support over the years. Guides, what do we need to know right now about having an achievement-centric mindset versus a journey-centric mindset?</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Ooooh, this is so good. I'm getting a hot flash. You know I'm too young for that. Ocean, ebb and flow. Ebb and flow. This couldn't be better. I love it. I love it, I love it. Send me some love back if you just caught that energy wave. So good. What a brilliant way for us to leave off this week. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong> So, it's not to say that you will never achieve anything, and it's bad to be an achiever. No. I'm with you. That's one of my top five strengths. I have got to celebrate that and create a life that celebrates me being naturally wired to be a high-achieving individual and have a business that is high-achieving.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">But at the same time, fulfillment in life and having a state of balance and enjoyment has got to involve ebb and flow. There's ocean upon ocean upon ocean of abundance out there for you to absolutely go get it. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong> There's no upper limit on pleasure and there's upper limit on wealth. You can have as much and you can create as much. There's no upper limit on creativity, as much as you desire, but it's important for you to find that balance between appreciating the journey and appreciating the achievement. That's your homework this week.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">How can you in your business, or if you don't have a business, at your corporation, at your workplace, how can you create a balance between appreciation for the achievements that you've done, the things that you've finished or have moved along, as well as appreciate. You know what? </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">That was a really great conversation. That meeting was really beautiful. I appreciate how far we've come even though we haven't finished yet. I appreciate how you show up.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> To all my leaders and managers, my executives out there, business owners, how are you appreciating the journey with your team? As well as, if you don't even have a team, within yourself? </span></p>

<p>Feeling emotionally safe in life is foundational to experiencing grounded health and wellness.</p>
<p>However, most of us have been taught from a very young age to be circumspect by harboring mistrust in others: we expect the worst, and not the best.</p>
<p><span style="color: #008080;"><strong>Watch this weeks 8-minute love letter video to explore Source's high-vibrational version of "safety first" and upgrade your mindset!<br />

<p style="text-align: right;"><em><span style="color: #800080;"><b>"I don't trust people."</b></span></em></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This week, the guidance from Source is safety first. Safety first. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Did you know that one of the most important things that you can have as your emotional set point is an internal center of safety?</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Let me explain. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>When we don't have an internal set point of safety, we look to our external world to feel safe.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">If we do not create our own safety by having an internal set point of safety, the external world, if she is unsafe, which unfortunately, more often than not she is, the external world is unsafe, we will then identify as being unsafe. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Example, going to work in an environment that you do not feel supported in or comfortable in. Because of that, that will create in you an identity, a self identity of, <em>"I don't trust people"</em> or <em>"I'm not trustworthy"</em> or <em>"My life is hard"</em> because the external environment creates the sense of unsafety, and then because you don't have your center, it's outside of you. </span><span class="s1">You, therefore, identify with your environment instead of with your center. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">This week is all about centering, finding your alignment, in particular, strategically generating your version of feeling safe. It starts with you first.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> If you've ever meditated here at the dojo with me or on one of the conference lines, etc., one of the mantras, we have many mantras that come through the dojo, but one of the main mantras, especially during meditation time is, <em>"I am safe here. I am safe here."</em> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Telling that to your inner child.<em> "I am safe here."</em> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>The reason why we assert that as our mantra is to bring that feeling, that strategic feeling of safety, into you and assert that that is up to you. It's not dependent on the environment, regardless of your space.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">You are safe right here. Take a deep breath in and exhale.</span></p>

<h2 class="p1"><a href="http://ctt.ec/X0_47"><strong><span class="s1">Know this:Don't blame your circumstances. You can create your own sense of emotional safety in the world.</span></strong> </a></h2>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Can you imagine if only just for now what your life would be like if you felt safe, and I mean this emotionally, if you felt safe wherever you went?</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Rather than looking and searching and searching in other places and other people and other groups and organizations and food and wine and cigarettes and technology, rather than searching externally for an assertion of, <em>"I feel safe. I feel connected. I feel centered."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> What if, no matter where you went, you felt safe? Here, in healing journeys with my students, that's what we really practice is bringing that and learning that, bringing that into us, that feeling of safety and then learning strategically how to generate feelings of safety no matter what because in spiritual truth you are safe, even if you decide to transition. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>You're still safe right here no matter where you are.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This week in particular, Source wants you to know that, that before you go out into your day, remember safety first. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">What that's going to mean for you, and I'm hearing the oracle cards right now coming in the energy, what that specifically means is that safety is something I generate. Safety first. I create my sense of safety, and then from there, I enter the world. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1"> Wouldn't it be amazing to be with people who felt and generated safety no matter where you were?</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The oracle cards for this week are the archangel oracle cards deck, another Doreen Virtue deck, one of 19 and counting as we enter the new year. I'm so excited. <p class="p1"><span class="s1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Angels, what do we need to know about safety first?</strong>&nbsp;</span></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">They just said, <em>"Don't shuffle any further."</em> This is powerful. Courage. Isn't this gorgeous? </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Courage. Archangel Ariel says, <em>"Be courageous and stand up for your beliefs."</em> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is where we'll leave off this week. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>The guides say that safety is actually a belief, and you can choose to believe.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Stand up for believing that safety is within you and something that you can choose to create and generate for yourself. It takes courage to decide that this is your center rather than going with the tides and going with convention and saying, <em>"It's outside of you."</em> </span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This week in particular source wants you to define your peace. Define your peace. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>What this is about is getting really clear on exactly what is your version of feeling peaceful, feeling at ease, feeling grounded, feeling healthy and feeling stress free.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">It's up to you to clearly define it. Let's get into that.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">When it's time for us to define our terms it's really about setting a foundation for our mindset. That's the purpose of defining things in the first place. This is really a mindset shift, that source, that God is calling you to this week in particular. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>My guides are saying the reason why Source is saying this is that you have been going according to someone else's, or something else's, protocol of what should make you relax.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Perhaps slowing down and meditating and laying out according to someone else's program or protocol or expectations has been what you've been going by.</span></p>

<li class="p1"><em><span class="s1">"I need to relax."</span></em></li>

<li class="p1"><em><span class="s1">"I'm going to sign up for this program."</span></em></li>
</ul>

</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<li class="p1"><em><span class="s1">"I'm going to do X amount of yoga classes and that should make me peaceful or at ease."</span></em></li>
</ul>
<p><span class="s1">There's one version, or you get it from your parents or your social circle or the media. Or even our own home grown expectations on ourself that we push - <em>"this should calm me down"</em>, or <em>"I don't know how to relax."&nbsp;</em></span><span class="s1">That's another option.</span></p>
<p><strong><span class="s1">Your own version of peace is going to be unique to you.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This week in particular it's time for you to uncover and discover that for yourself.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>This is about journaling, yes, but it's also more over, I'm hearing the guides saying, tracking and monitoring yourself.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Perhaps you've been on a trip to the nutritionist or dietitian and they're saying that you need to change your diet. One of the first things that they'll do is say, <em>"Keep a food diary so that we have an idea, let's say 4 or 5 days or 7 days, what do you put into you and how that effects you. How do you feel?"</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong><span class="s1">In this instance, this week in particular, source is saying, <em>"Track what you are putting into you that creates or is suppose to create your peaceful grounded state."</em></span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">How many things do you do for yourself, for your self care? Are you doing them regularly or irregularly? Do some things need to be increased because they have an excellent effect? Do some things need to be decreased because they sound good on paper, they look good on the outside but they're not really having the effect that you need the most from that self care practice.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Kick boxing isn't for everybody. Walks outside aren't necessarily for everybody. Maybe your walks need to be on a standing treadmill desk so that you can be typing while you walk. Hours and hours of video games is not for everybody, or maybe doing it, some of you out there watching, might be watching hours and hours of TV or hours and hours of video games, or Candy Crush, on the iPad or the iPhone, your Android, and it's a little bit of calming but it's poof, gone as soon your finished. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">Track what are you doing for self care and to manage how you feel, to manage your boredom, to manage your anger, to manage your fatigue, to manage your frustration, sadness and stress.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Watch what you do over this week in particular so that you can clearly define what's working and what's not working.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Now the guides are saying, <em>"pull the oracle card, Victoria".</em> Healing with the fairies is what's coming through in the energy of who wants to help weigh in on this topic. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Fairies, what do we need to know right now about defining our peace? Is there anything else that we need to know? This is beautiful. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Honoring your true feelings.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is where we'll leave off for the week.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The way to honor yourself and become more self aware is by observing yourself. This is a self observation week. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>You can't really improve your self care if you have no idea what your one, doing, if anything, and two, what's the direct effect on you?</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">As you look at what you're doing you've got to be honest with yourself and say, <em>"You know what? I really don't like that yoga class,"</em> or, <em>"You know what? I'm seeing my therapist. I really don't like him. We're not going anywhere."</em> If you're in business, <em>"I'm in this networking group,"</em> or <em>"I'm with this coach or I have this client, this isn't serving me." </em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><em><span class="s1">"This is taking away from my peace rather then adding to it."&nbsp;</span></em><span class="s1">You've got to tune into what your true feelings are in order to know whether or not it serves you in the first place.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">I totally am so grateful for the fairies to point that out. It's about finding your center. </span></p>

<p>But didn't they tell you that having a "nice" place, driving a "nice" car, keeping up with your bills and being "nice" to everyone should make you feel happy and fulfilled? That's the secret, right? WRONG!</p>

<p style="text-align: right;"><span style="color: #800080;"><b>"<strong>What’s the point of it all?</strong>"</b></span></p>
<p><strong>This week’s topic is the secret to being fulfilled in life.</strong></p>
<p>Maybe recently you’ve been working really hard and wondering what it's all for.</p>
<p>Perhaps even, over the last couple of weeks, there's this aching inner sense of emptiness that's been creeping up on you.</p>
<p>Maybe it comes up in the people that you speak to lately, how frustrating it is when they're awfully shallow?</p>
<p><strong>Or maybe are you doing things that don't really resonate with what you stand for or what your vision for your life has always been?</strong></p>
<p>Are you not as far as you thought you would have been at this point in time? Are you not feeling fulfilled?</p>
<p>There's that inner sense of emptiness: the hole, the cave that can gather energetically, as well as even physically, eating away at our tissues, at our senses and sensibilities when we are not engaging what feeds us.</p>
<p><strong>However, the non-receptive way of communicating with Source to write-off these events just "coincidences."</strong></p>
<p>When we are externally driven in life, all meaning, worth, value, approval, acceptance – all judgments are based on what is external.</p>
<p>All actions in this sort of life are therefore based on what is external to us, as a self, a being, a consciousness, a person.</p>
<p>What it would look like if we were living an externally driven life is that, "I am what I can show for," or "I have to keep up with the Joneses because on the outside of me, these people are doing well, or at least their external representation looks showy, and I want to make sure that I'm on par with that."</p>
<h2>Know This: <span style="color: #008080;">Focusing on quality over quantity breeds fulfillment. #happiness #gratitude</span></h2>
<p>The externally driven life is about acquiring larger quantities – of friends, of possessions, of dollars, etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Ultimately, the point is to make sure life looks very beautiful: the vision, the appearance and the visual spatial representation of whatever we're encountering in life.</strong></span></p>
<p>But the externally driven life is one that it's not just shallow.&nbsp;There's a little bit more to it than that.</p>
<p>Specifically, the externally driven life is focused on appearances. If you can read this article, you have access to and are living in a society that is primarily externally driven.</p>
<p>The thing is that it’s not all bad. Yes, it’s true! Otherwise we wouldn’t really adhere to this point of view!</p>
<p><strong>In truth, the good thing about being externally driven is that it's motivational.</strong></p>
<p>Yes, it inspires you for more, more, more. However, if your vibration is low, it is good to be externally driven, because it pulls your vibration out of the dumps, or it keeps you from flat-lining energetically and boosts&nbsp;your physical life force.</p>
<p>Developing a dependency on being externally driven is where it becomes problematic is what the angels are saying right now. For example: determining your self-worth according to how many degrees and certifications you have is a slippery slope, because <em>there's always more</em>...</p>
<p><strong>There comes a point in life where we need to be able to decide to enjoy where we are.</strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>The other side is being internally driven. </strong></span></p>
<p>Until now, we've been talking about having an externally driven life, which always ends up being not fulfilling. It will be motivational, endlessly.</p>
<p>I mean that positively and negatively at the same time, though. Being externally driven is not the key, not the secret, to experiencing what fulfillment feels like.</p>
<p><strong>Rather than two sides of a coin, these have more of a “yin and yang” relationship.</strong></p>
<p>The symbol of yin and yang is actually turning, because there is light and dark in both, constantly creating universal movement which is good. That actively creates harmony.</p>
<p>Similarly, we can apply this concept to the relationship between being internally and externally driven, in that when you find the active, dynamic balance between the two, you create – and have – harmony.</p>
<p><strong>You can create and have fulfillment.</strong></p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.5;">And it comes in a sustainable and expansive way, rather than from just throwing up your hands and saying "I'm done!" It's different.</span></p>
<p>But there’s a dark side to being internally driven.</p>
<p>The energy is saying that a good example of being internally driven is going about life by one of my favorite sayings, "What matters most is how you feel."</p>
<p><strong>Being aware of how you feel, being present to the present moment and fully immersed in that is being internally driven in life.</strong></p>
<p>So, the Joneses can have the car, the white picket fence, the expensive toy dog in the purse and the motorcycle/boat flying machine. Fabulous. I don't care because what matters most is how I feel. I'm more concerned with, "Well, am I all right with my house and my frying machine or my toaster oven." Right? Lol!</p>
<p>Well, there's more to it than just being stubbornly self-absorbed.&nbsp;How do you know if you're being internally driven or if you're around other people who are internally driven for the highest good?</p>
