<p><strong>This week the spirit wanted to share with you the idea of giving yourself permission, specifically permission shift your state and to be out in nature.</strong></p>
<p>So many times as we go about our day we’re focused on getting task, after task, after task done that you walk into work and before you know it, bam! The sun’s down, everybody’s driving home.</p>
<p>There’s no time to be outside because you have to go home and cook dinner, you have to get the kids, etc.</p>
<p><strong>This creates a lack of a sense of body awareness, the Energy is saying.</strong></p>
<p>So, it’s only appropriate that energy would want us to tell you that while we are outside. If you can’t get outside yet, please by all means enjoy the wonderful nature energy in this week's video as I talk to you from <a href="http://www.jackiesonthereef.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Jackie’s On the Reef in Negril, Jamaica.</a></p>
<p>What the energy is saying, first and foremost about this topic of giving yourself permission to be outside, is it’s time to increase your self-awareness, if only just for now.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Close your eyes for a moment, take a deep breath in and notice how does your body feel?</strong> </span></p>
<p><em><strong>How are your shoulders sitting? How do your eyes feel? How do your hips feel, your thighs, your knees and ankles, your feet and hands?</strong></em></p>
<p>If you are not self-aware you’re not connected to where your body’s state is at right now, and without that awareness, there’s no way that you’re even going to get to the point of giving yourself permission to change your state.</p>
<p><strong>One of the biggest parts of energy management and emotional clearing is learning to actively change your states.</strong></p>
<p>That means your emotional, physical, mental and spiritual states. And one awesome, fast and easy way that you can do that is by simply going outside.</p>
<p>Now, how long do you need to be outside, I heard someone in the energy just ask? It depends. How much time do you have? You can go out for 5 minutes.</p>
<p>As always, you know I’m big on cell phone timers, so just hit the timer on your cell phone and just be outside for no reason other than being outside.</p>
<p><strong>Earth is alive.</strong></p>
<p><em>Even if you’re in the big city, or wherever you are, earth is still alive. As soon as you go outside the wind is going to speak to you, the trees, flowers, animals, even if it’s just someone walking their dog coming by you, or the birds – pigeons if you’re in New York, lol!</em></p>
<h2>Know this: <span style="color: #008080;">#Nature is a living, breathing consciousness. The more you immerse yourself in her, the more you become like her. </span></h2>
<p>Even if it’s just 5 minutes; this is what the energy’s been putting in my heart to share with you this week.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #800080;">The Oracle Card that we pulled for the week, is called the Arrow Master.</span> The Arrow Master is all about focus; focus and hitting your mark.</strong></p>
<p><em>You have to have a mark in the first place, though, if you’re going to hit it.</em></p>
<p>So tune into yourself first, aim to hit the mental mark of “where is my state now?” and if as you tune in you notice it’s uncomfortable, fire! As in, decide to shift it.</p>
<p>It’s okay to do that. It’s okay to give yourself permission – and you do have permission – to hit your mark.</p>
<p><strong>So, what is the mark that you’re looking to hit? What we're really asking is: what’s a goal that you desire to achieve?</strong></p>
<p><em>Is there a certain way that you want to feel throughout your work day, or your workweek, or the month, or is there just a way you want to feel period? I’m talking in terms of not only physical feeling, but also emotionally.</em></p>
<p>Write it down. Get it clear. Don’t just hold it in your head.</p>
<p>Perhaps you observed it in someone else? Maybe a relaxing environment like being on the beach in Negril, Jamaica inspires you, and you think to yourself: “you know what? That’s a mark that I would love to hit. I would love to be in Negril, Jamaica, or I would love to just be outside, even for a few minutes just to ‘be’ and enjoy myself.”</p>
<p>Hold that goal, hold that focus in your mind, remind yourself often.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Re-mind, as in reintegrate, repopulate, and re-seed yourself, as in planting seeds in your mind; re-mind yourself of what your mark is and it’s sure to happen.</strong></span></p>
<p><strong>How? By the universal Law of Attraction, which states: “that which is like energy is attracted.”</strong></p>
<p>If you vibrate with thoughts like: “you know what? I want to feel better. I want my body to be more peaceful, and I want to know what it’s like to have more freedom in my life,” and you re-mind and reintegrate that over and over, you re-seed yourself, continuously planting those seeds in your mental energy, then it all becomes part of your subconscious.</p>
<p><em>And your subconscious is what is really creating and dictating the events and experiences of your life.</em></p>
<p><strong>Remember be the Arrow Master this week.</strong></p>
<p>If you don’t hit your mark, I just heard that in the energy to tell you to be kind to yourself.</p>
<p>It may come to you in a way that was unexpected, or you may not be taking actions that spirit’s been putting in your gut to do, when spirit’s been saying “this is what’s the next step that needs to happen in order for you to hit your mark.”</p>
<p>I know exactly how that feels. It’s natural to be afraid.</p>
<p>One thing that works for me personally is that every time I’m nervous about taking an action, if I’m thinking, “Oh, I don’t know, that’s going to cost a lot of money,” or, “This is inconvenient,” blah, blah, blah – you know all those excuses that come up.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>First, I notice that all&nbsp;excuses are fearful, and fear-fueled.</strong> </span></p>
<p><strong>And then I shift my state by remembering that fear and excitement are 2 sides of the same coin. </strong></p>
<p>So I go right into that fear, I notice it, and I ask myself, “Well, hmm, how can I be excited about this?” and then we use that energy to move forward.</p>

<p>Carrying excessive emotional energy can be exhausting, and we often carry way more than we're even conscious of; it especially shows up in how you feel during moments that should be quiet and peaceful (but are antsy or worry-filled, instead).</p>
<p>Over the years, I've researched and come across countless mental and spiritual exercises to alleviate stress and anxiety, and Spirit has asked us to share one with you this week.</p>
<p><span style="color: #008080;"><strong>Watch the above video to learn a fun and easy technique to clear your emotional energy now!<br />

<p style="text-align: right;"><em><span style="color: #800080;"><b>"<strong>I just can't turn off. I'm always on! HELP!</strong>"</b></span></em></p>
<p><strong>This week’s video covers a technique for emotional clearing.</strong></p>
<p>As you know I love following a lot of Doreen Virtue's work as a new-age spiritual psychologist and intuitive channel.</p>
<p>In particular, Spirit said this week we should teach to the Tribe&nbsp;one of her methods called "The Archangel Michael Vacuuming" technique for clearing emotional energy.</p>
<p>There are thousands of techniques for clearing emotional energy, and they are helpful to those of us who are "always on," suffering from constant stress, anxiety and even insomnia.</p>
<p><strong>Always ready and in “fight or flight” mode? That’s because your adrenal glands are being overstimulated and overused.</strong></p>
<p>Maybe you're feeling anxious and carrying your stress with you recently, or even right now, because there was a recent fight that you had with a loved one, or you received some scathing criticism at work, or someone was just kind of a jerk and rubbed you the wrong way and you just can't get it off of your mind...</p>
<p>And it keeps replaying over and over in your head.</p>
<p>You say to yourself things like: "This is what I would've said to him if things would have went differently." And you continue to argue inside yourself.</p>
<p><strong>So we're still attached to the fight. Hours, days, weeks, months, even years after it's happened we're still carrying the emotional energy.</strong></p>
<p>Though it happened in the past, right now all the emotional energy comes out fresh because we're being triggered by the attachment we agree (in the present) to maintain (to the past offense).</p>
<p>Another way that excessive emotional energy can creep up on us is irrational fear.</p>
<p>For example: are you afraid of a certain room in the house? Like the basement? Have you assigned your dark basement the title of "haunted" or generally creepy? LOL!</p>
<h2>Know This: <span style="color: #008080;">You are in charge of how you feel right now. And you can&nbsp;choose to feel better.&nbsp;#takecharge #stressedout</span></h2>
<p>The truth is, you give the basement it's creepy power over your emotions. Even if it is actually haunted, you don't have to feel afraid of or victimized by that!</p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>If emotional energy is dominating your life, then that means YOU are carrying it around with you – re-upping it, reintegrating it, reactivating things that are done and over with. </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>And it’s up to YOU, and nobody else, to change that.</strong></span></p>
<p>You can start by clearing some of it out. And a wonderful technique for doing that is the Archangel Michael Vacuuming meditation.</p>
<p><strong>HOW TO DO IT:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Ask&nbsp;Archangel Michael, "Please be vacuum out my negative emotions&nbsp;right now."</li>
<li>Visualize him just above you with a huge healing vacuum in his hands.</li>
<li>See him&nbsp;sucking up all of the negative and dark emotional energy that is in your body, starting at the top of your head, down to your feet.&nbsp;The more you watch him do this, using your imagination, the better it works.</li>
<li>Then ask Archangel Michael, "Please bring your healing white light hose, and fill me in with healing white light. Dense, healing, high vibrational energy."</li>
<li>Visualize him with&nbsp;a fire hose filling your entire body in; the light comes out of it like marshmallow, very thick, very dense. Start again from the top of your head, down to your feet.</li>
<li>Once it's completed, say "thank you and so it is." And you're done!</li>
</ol>
<p>The point is to play with your inner child while doing this.</p>
<p>This is not that serious, people!</p>
<p>Don't miss out on the power of this meditation right now because of your ego, growling <em>“Grr! I’m a board-certified lawyer skeptic person and I hate marshmallows and angels are ridiculous! Gimmie my Xanax and forget this froo-froo BS!"</em></p>
<p><strong>Relax, because the more playful and imaginative you are, the less stress and overwhelm you are capable of carrying, and the less stress you put on your adrenals.</strong></p>
<p>On the other hand, you may be reading this and feel totally cool with angels, fairies, unicorns and rainbows.</p>
<p>If that's you, then High Five!</p>
<p>BUT WATCH IT!</p>
<p>As you're seeing Archangel Michael do a very detailed job, getting every single crevice completely saturated with healing white light until it is completely done, make sure that you're JUST watching, you're not taking the nozzle and doing it for him.</p>
<p><strong>Just observe, let go, let him do his work. You can TRUST him. He happens to be an Archangel you know. They kinda know what they're doing.</strong></p>

<p>Awww... The holidays are the times when we come together as friends and family and do two things:</p>
<ul>
<li>Stuff ourselves sick with sugary, fatty and greasy food.</li>
<li>Whine and get into fights because now's our chance!</li>
</ul>
<p>Right? EW! I wish I could be warm and fuzzy, but for some of us the holidays and celebration gatherings of any kind are a hot mess.</p>

<p>Let's face the problem head on, rather than just dreading and building up our anxiety and blood pressure leading up to the event - or even using drinking more wine or stuffing with more food or watching a TV or whatever to distract us during the party.</p>

<p>Gatherings are powerful energywork, and when used correctly, you can exponentially increase your vibration and even increase your manifestation techniques. But that has to be on the agenda in order for that to happen!</p>
<p>In the previous post, I gave <a href="https://victoriawhitfield.com/7-strategies-to-not-get-stuffed-at-holiday-gatherings">7 Strategies for Not Getting Stuffed at Holiday Gatherings</a>. This post will continue the healing process by showing you other awesome things you can do that do NOT involve stuffing yourself, but DO involve experiencing more love and more connection. Group hug!</p>
<p>And that's what we really want during the holidays, right?</p>
<p>So here goes:</p>
<ol>
<li>Looking through photo albums and telling the stories of each picture. (Can also be showing cellphone pictures, but only if you know how to put the phone down and pay attention to people!)</li>
<li>Writing "Thank You" or "Happy Holidays" cards to your list of people that you are grateful for <strong>as a group</strong> and having a "card party."</li>
<li>Taking pictures as a family (professional ones are nice, but also doing disposable ones too are fun because it's a surprise! and the candids are much more emotionally satisfying to look at)</li>
<li>Writing "Happy Holidays" or  "Thank You" or "Wish You Well" notes to your neighbors AND walking them to their mailboxes to put in. BONUS: knocking on their door and saying to their face that you wish them and their family health and happiness in person</li>
<li>Starting your own dance party. BONUS: having a dance battle or Soul Train Line</li>
<li>Having a sing along or jam session</li>
<li>Playing silly old games like Telephone, Mad Libs, Charades, Taboo, Jenga, Simon Says, Red Light Green Light or Marry Kiss Kill</li>
<li>Calling people and telling them you love them or that you were just thinking of them and wish them well <strong>as a group</strong></li>
<li>Planning your next vacation <strong>as a group</strong></li>
<li>Watch an old home movie</li>
<li>Watch your favorite comedy movie (skip the food or alcohol or sugary drinks and have Tea instead. pretend you're british!)</li>
<li>Pick a charity to donate to like Heifer International or The Unstoppable Foundation</li>
<li>Rather than going around the table and saying what you are thankful for, go around the table and have Rampages of Appreciation for <strong>each other</strong> (and loved ones who are more than alive) where you say what you love about each person there</li>
<li>Have everyone tell stories about your ancestors' accomplishments and the stories of your family's heritage</li>
<li>Do a group verbal vision board and brainstorm, going around the room saying "wouldn't it be cool if we did..." and then the next person builds on that saying "yeah and wouldn't it be even better if we did..."</li>
<li>Go around the group and say what's your New Year's Resolution or a big goal you're working toward</li>
<li>Increase you Law of Attraction energy by everyone saying what they want more of (affection, appreciation, health, a new job, etc) Ask and ye shall receive!</li>
<li>Also go around the group and say what you may need help with or are working on to make it a group mastermind</li>
<li>Raise your vibration by going around the group and each person recounting all the accomplishments you've made in the last week, month, quarter and/or year, and then make sure everyone in the group claps loudly and celebrates. What you celebrate, you attract more of!</li>
<li>Have a car trunk treasure hunt where you have a list of items that everyone needs to find in their trunk, and whoever finds the most items on the list, wins</li>
<li>Have a clothing donation competition where you fill garbage bags of clothes you want to donate and whoever has the most clothes, wins</li>
<li>Go for a group walk around the block or in a local park to appreciate nature if the weather permits, or even plant a tree as a group to commemorate the day</li>
<li>Visit and clean a family gravesite <strong>as a group</strong> and remember the love that family member brought into your lives</li>
<li>Call or visit people who are in the hospital, in jail or are abroad and let them know you care and are thinking of them <strong>as a group</strong></li>
<li>Do a group doodle mural where everyone draws and writes on a big piece of paper to commemorate the day</li>
<li>Go around the group and say where you want to be in 5 years and where you want to see the family / your friends / your company in 5 years</li>
<li>Go around the group and have everyone say their birthdate, astrological sign, favorite color, favorite food, and what was the most fun they ever had or the craziest/funniest thing they ever did/heard/saw</li>
</ol>

<p>There you have it! 27 ways to celebrate and enjoy the love and communal energy of group gatherings.</p>

<p><strong>Whether it's a birthday, anniversary, Thanksgiving, Christmas, the 4th of July, an office party, or Mother's or Father's Day - most of our celebrations these days are food-focused.</strong></p>
<p>In a previous article I explained how we associate food with love and that is why we tend to stuff ourselves, especially at Thanksgiving.</p>
<p><strong>However Spirit spoke to me this morning and said that it's not just love, but we also associate food with appreciation and celebration.</strong> Any holiday or celebration therefore is a severe trigger for those of us who struggle with Emotional Eating and Emotional Stuffing Behaviors. So what on earth do we do about this?</p>
<p><span id="more-948"></span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-964" src="https://victoriawhitfield.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/turkey-costume-189x300.png" alt="turkey costume" width="189" height="300" srcset="https://victoriawhitfield.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/turkey-costume-189x300.png 189w, https://victoriawhitfield.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/turkey-costume.png 500w" sizes="(max-width: 189px) 100vw, 189px" />I had a few downloads today about how to heal our relationship with food during Celebrations and Holiday Gatherings. Some of them may surprise you, others may seem pedestrian.</p>
<p>Either way, I encourage you to TRY THEM OUT (at least 3) this Thursday for Thanksgiving, and let me know how it goes for you.</p>
<p><strong>It's all about making sure you're not the stuffed turkey at Thanksgiving this year!</strong></p>
<p>I myself will be attempting to engage in all 7, and I'll let you know what happened for me. Usually I stuff myself sick during the holidays to show I am present and participating, but this time, <strong>I personally want to be present to myself and my health WHILE participating with experiencing Love with family and friends</strong>.</p>
<p>So here they are:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Reframe The Meaning of Cravings</strong>. We stuff ourselves during holidays and celebrations because we conflate eating food or drinking with Love. Guess what? There's more ways to give, receive and experience love than stuffing yourself. When you next feel the urge to eat more, reframe that urge as a need to experience more Love in that moment - which means, challenge yourself to hug someone, express appreciation, donate something, be affectionate, give a gift, do a random act of kindness or service, tell someone how much they mean to you, pat the cat or the dog, go outside and just appreciate nature for 10 minutes with someone or call someone up to say you were thinking of them.</li>
<li><strong>Tupperware</strong>. We overeat during holiday celebrations because our eyes are bigger than our stomach, and portions go crazy. Bring a no more than 3 cup / 24 oz / 710 ml tupperware to the party and make it your goal to eat only what will fit in that tupperware and it can close. That way you know exactly how much will be going inside you.</li>
<li><strong>Hijack Your Smell &amp; Salivation Response</strong>. We often overeat during the holidays because things smell so good. Bring non-food and non-appetizing things to smell to combat cravings and overeating, such the following oil or candles to sniff: lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus, roses, lilies, jasmine, gardenia, or even vick's vapor rub!</li>
<li><strong>Managing Seconds, Thirds, and so on</strong>. We overeat because it's socially acceptable to keep going back for more food. So to make sure you can have more of something that tasted good but just at a later time, bring extra tupperware containers to put your seconds and thirds to take home later and put them in the FREEZER during your stay, AND into your own freezer when you get home.</li>
<li><strong>Conscious Display</strong>. We overeat because we see the buffet open and easy to access. So, cover up foods with opaque (not see through) covers when not in use. Out of sight, out of mind!</li>
<li><strong>Taste &amp; Pleasure Binge</strong>. We overeat because everything just tasted so good and we just want to repeat the sensual pleasure of it. To counteract this, do an ACV Bomb! Drop a shot of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar into a tall glass of water and drink it down. It's great for digestion and can shut down cravings! Or, if it's really bad, just take an ACV shot straight. You may scream, but hey, desperate times call for desperate measures! 🙂</li>
<li><strong>Plan Out the Event Activities</strong>. We often overeat because the only thing to do is eat at a party. How BORING! So instead, have a set time where you and your family / guests move away from the dinner table to engage in non-food, non-drink, and non-eating activities that raise your love vibration higher and higher. And when you raise your vibration, you attract more positive things into your life!</li>
