Do you love being First?

Are you a highly competitive person, especially with yourself?

Constantly on the lookout to see where you can always be improving?

Healthy competition is inspiring, motivational and gets things moving.

And yet, competition requires you expend energy, and that can lead to you working harder than you have to.

Watch this week’s 12-minute Love Letter video, the fourth installment in our 5-part exploration of transitioning “From Me to We”, to shift your mindset from being competitive to being creative.

"I always feel like I have to be in first place."

So this is week four of five our deep dive exploring the transition between me mindset, thinking everything is up to me, right? Feeling singular, compressive, small to the we mindset of opening up to receiving and allowing help and the love and support of others on our journey.

Now I'm talking primarily on your professional journey but I know there are loves who are watching these love letters who are just watching for personal growth and development. And yes, you don't have to go anywhere. To you too, all are welcome here.

So this week in particular, the guides are talking about transitioning. So another transition step on the way to move from the me mindset to the we mindset is moving from what Wallace Wattles calls the competitive to the creative mind.

Or if you've ever seen that lovely infograph that goes the lack mindset versus the abundance mindset. Of course these are similar comparison paradigms that we're setting up here.

In the Science of Getting Rich written by Wallace D. Wattles, he composes a theorem over the course of the entire book. It's a word equation for creating wealth and riches and one of the powerful turning points of the book is when Wallace Wattles describes the difference between having a competitive and a creative mind.

Last week we hinted at the issue of having conditional love and approval of ourselves and see the types of results that can create when we're working with a limited amount of energy. This week continues that because when we are operating from the competitive mindset, this is conditional.

The competitive mindset is dependent on the ability to press against that which we are competing with. Okay, there's this other person. All right I'm going to compete against them. I'm going to be first. It's dependent upon. It's conditional. Your success within being competitive is having someone to compete against.

Now for those of us who've been on the personal growth and development train for quite some time we think well I compete with myself. And at the same time you're still comparing. Let's be honest, we're still comparing to this part of me is not good enough. This part of me is not good enough. Got to push against. Got to make it better. Got to improve. Got to innovate. Always, always, improving. Be kind to yourself if that's you.

This is a push approach to making progress. Right? And with that it takes so much more energy. By the way as a side note, this is what I call being the hard work hero in your life story. Now I outline my whole theory around being the hard work versus the smart work hero and heroine in your life story. In my webinar The Abundant Business Lifestyle Webinar.

So if you haven't seen that, there should be a link somewhere magically placed by my wonderful monkeys for you so that you can really go deep around not being the hard work hero in life anymore.

So suffice to say when we're pushing to make innovation that's expounding a whole lot more energy than going with the flow of nature. And nature is the word actually is synonymous with creation. Right? So we're going to shift from the competitive to the creative mind and in shifting from needing to push against something, the progress is contingent upon, it's dependent upon, it's conditional upon something to push against.

Instead the creative mind is a constant flow. It's a constant flow between you and source. There are solutions to your issue at work or at home that are outside of a conditional box for you to relax and meditate into.

Know this: Cultivating your Creative Mind is smart work in #business because it aligns you with the flow of Nature; you are naturally a Creator, not a Competitor.

If you're not used to relaxing and meditation and receiving guidance, I'm right here. Pick me, pick me. Go ahead and reach out to me at victoriawhitfield.com/contact and let's get you set up with your natural intuition program so that you can tune into your intuition.

But suffice to say the creative mind is smart work. You're harnessing the flow of your natural state as a creator. That's our purpose here. On earth in this lifetime is to be creators. And the more that you can stand in your own unique creative vision, not necessarily wearing bright scarves and dresses and things with goddesses on the wall. You can be creative in your own right.

So be kind to yourself. If you also tell yourself a story of I'm not a creative person, that is actually a story you created so by definition, by default you're actually creating and saying you're not a creator at the same time, right? Be kind to yourself if that's the situation that you are currently in.

And I'm hearing the oracle card calling in the energy to weigh in on the topic of shifting from the competitive mind of that push and hard work to the creative mind which then pulls us towards our greater future.

Let me come in a little bit closer. I love doing that. So I tell my peeps to do things to put themselves in the vortex. That's one of mine. So again, the Life Purpose Oracle Card deck by Doreen Virtue is what we are journeying with. And angels, what do we need to know right now about shifting from the competitive to the creative mind? How can we embrace our creativity more?

So good. Here's where we'll leave off for the week. You are a healer. You have the spiritual gift of healing and a desire to share it with others. So my guides are coming in and saying two things in particular about this card. For one, you are a healer. Let's honor that and celebrate it and stand in it and come out of your healing closet around the fact that yes, you really are a healer, right? You create a healing presence. You have healing hands or your gifts and your creativity are a healing presence in your soul aligned community.

On top of that, in order for you to connect to your creative flow, healers need healing too. It's time for you to reach out and connect with an energy healer so that you can shift from the competitive to the creative mind. I have intuitive healers for myself and always have and I am one. Especially for you as spiritual and empathic entrepreneurs and business owners and leaders, right? You have unique issues that I'm happy to support you with.

So go ahead and reach out. It's time for you to connect with an intuitive healer so that you can get back into your creative flow. Go ahead and comment below. This is meant to be a two-way conversation. I send you love letters but you could send me some back too. Always open to receive. I've got like tons. Tons of love letters and that's just like one of many walls. To those of you who have sent me love letters, thank you so much. But go ahead. Send me an email back. Comment below or write me in the mail victoriawhitfield.com/contact. My mailing address is there.

What's coming up for you around shifting from the competitive to the creative mind, right? Standing in your healer. Make sure that you subscribe on YouTube so that you get these love letters first every week.

And if you know someone who is an empathic entrepreneur or spiritual business owner, forward them this lovely little love letter so that they know that it's time for them to get the support that they need in their professional healing journey.

All right, we'll see you next week for our fifth and final installment. Bye.

Do you seldom feel truly rested?

Is it hard for you to relax, because you secretly think it’s a waste of time?

Wish you could increase your productivity and your wellness, instead of trading one for the other?

Type-A personalities tend to have a hard time really resting and feeling relaxed because they’re wired to value getting as many things done as possible above their feelings and wellbeing.

This can lead to chronic anxiety and stress, as well as cycles of depression and burnout if left unchecked.

Watch this week’s 10-minute Love Letter video, the third in our 4-week series on Your Daily PRP’s, to put an end to this vicious cycle and instead adopt a practice of restful productivity.

"I feel lazy when I take breaks."

This is week three of four in our four-week series on Your Daily PRPs.

If you don't know what PRP stands for, stop the video now and go back to week one where we explained exactly what PRPs are and why you need them. So, without further ado, if you do know what's going on, this week in particular we're going to cover the second letter in that acronym PRP, the R which stands for "Rest."

The reason why we get our daily PRP nutrition in is so that you have the energy and the stamina to pursue your passion and purpose for the long haul. This, when you implement is as a proactive regularized practice, whether it is on a daily basis or weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, right? However you schedule it in for yourself, it will stave off or even put an end to cycles of burnout, being overworked, feeling cranky, overwhelmed, and pushing yourself past your limit.

In particular, this week that we're talking about with rest is having restful productivity. I know that kind of sounds like an oxymoron, if I have any of my type As watching. Yay. All my creepy control enthusiasts, all my perfectionistas, yes, yes, where everything has got to be perfect. Be kind to yourself if that's you.

You might be burning the candle at both ends by adopting the type A, get it done perfectly as fast as possible, as efficiently as possible all the time. There's a way to be restful and productive at the same time.

Now, my guides have given me a four-step process to share with you this week in particular so that you can get to implementing restful productivity, so that you have the stamina to pursue your passion and purpose for the long haul. You ready for it?

Number one, unplug. Write this down, by the way. Get a pen and pad or open up another window, whatever you guys do or ... inscribe it on your brains.

Number one, unplug. In order to rest but also to be fully productive, your ability to focus, not just on a mental level but also a physical level is called for and unplugging is necessary. What does that mean? No TV, phone, tablet, laptop, computer, no plugging into technology. The less technology period you can be around ...

I was just talking about stuff that makes you connected to the worldwide webs-y things and cables and stuff. But if you wanna go completely native and have candlelight and all of that, the campfire, great. But, for those of us who are not able to do that, just unplug. Make it a point to unplug so that you can be focused on being restfully productive.

‪Know this: You can be restful AND productive.

Secondly, and this takes courage, it's time for you to rage. So, how are you going to rage? For some people it's getting at that heavy bag, and pow, pow, pow, pow. Let that bag have what it had coming! But, I also highly recommend that you use a written medium for your rage. So, have a rage journal. I have a rage journal, by the way.

Or, grab a piece of toilet paper and start writing on that, all the things that you hate, that annoy you, that make you angry, and cranky and frustrated. Write it out, write it out, write it out. Or, all those extra brown paper bags, time to write all over them. Write of all the things that you wanna get out of you and rage about. This is cathartic clearing. So, that's really going to help you be restful but it's also productive because you're bringing stuff up and out, getting it out of you.

Thirdly, is to release. The way that you release this practice is you can close the journal and leave it behind for a little bit, if you are okay with that. Or, if you need ultra secrecy take that toilet paper, flush it down the toilet. Let the crap go where it's supposed to, down the toilet pipes, right? Or, with your brown paper bag, rip it up into tiny pieces or even throw it in the fire pit and watch it burn. Bye-Bye! Right? Burn that crusty crap away.

So, release all of that energy that came out of you. Then leave it be. That you could do it for an hour, leave it be for an hour afterward, or even entire day, or week, who knows? What's important is the fourth and final step, and this is what makes it super productive, is to review. What came out of you, what you raged about, what makes you angry is actually what I call a dark gift, meaning a gift that comes in a darker kind of, not very attractive package, right? It's a learning gift.

So, the things that you raged about are signs and hints at where your boundaries are being overstepped. If you have any boundaries with love, right? Where you need more support in your life, in your business, or in your relationships. Where your desires are not being met. There's so much clarity that comes from raging and releasing and the review, that's fourth and final step, is essential for you grounding and receiving all of the gifts that came out of this restful productivity process at the end.

So, this is how to find your way through the resting process. Those of us who are type As, we tend to go on vacation, or enjoy the spa or have downtime and we're being as productive and go, go, go, as possible. We can't seem to turn off, can't seem to let go, because we gotta do everything on the list that we said we were going to do.

The reason why that happens is because you have pent up rage that you haven't released yet. So, this is your four steps process to be restful and productive. And you can do this. You can work it in, in many ways on a daily basis, in a little bit bigger ways on a weekly basis, more of a significant time space on the monthly or quarterly basis or once a year. Give yourself a bunch a time to really enjoy the sacred process.

So, I'm hearing the oracle cards calling in the energy. This month in particular we're journeying all month with the romance angels, another Doreen Virtue oracle cards deck. Thank you for your donations. Always welcome to receiving more. So, angels, what do we need to know right now about restful productivity as our daily PRP? Calling in your soulmate. Calling in your soulmate. Your prayers, affirmations, and visualizations help bring you together. This is where we're going to leave off for the week.

The reason why calling in your soulmate is coming up, is because when we clear our energy, when we clear all of that rage and inflammatory thoughts and feelings, when we release our emotions, we create the space to receive our divine partnerships. First with ourselves! Remember, all of this is really about your relationship with you. But, also, for those around us we're more receptive to their love and their support, whether it's in personal or professional relationships.

So, calling in a partner who's able to meet those needs that you discovered weren't being met yet, starting with you being that partner for you. Comment below, send me an email back. What comes up for you around that?

Are you going to do some productive rest time?

Let me know how that goes. Make sure you subscribe on YouTube so that you get your love letters first every week, and we'll see you next time. Bye!

Do you work hard and play hard?

And when you do, do you tend to overdo both?

Feeling annoyed that you work hard all the time and find yourself having less and less fun in life?

It seems that the minute we become adults that play loses its status as top-priority in day-to-day life.

We are told that play is silly, irresponsible and a waste of time, and somehow we believe it.

Watch this week’s 10-minute Love Letter video, the second in our 4-week series on your daily PRP’s, to shift your mindset to be play-positive and bring back the joy and fun in your life!

"I've lost my sense of adventure."

This is week two of four of our deep dive into PRPs, your daily PRPs.

Last week we defined exactly what is a PRP and why do you need it. We always start with why. If you have no idea what happened, stop now and go back. Go back and watch the previous video.

You can find it on YouTube or on my blog. The link should be somewhere, wherever you clicked. With that being said, this week let's talk about the first of that acronym, PRP.

So the first word in that is play. What the guides want you to know this week is that you've got to shift your mindset around play. It's time for you to shift your mindset around play. Often we are taught to work hard, play hard, work hard, play hard, work hard, play hard. Right?

That's even a chant sometimes, or even in a Nike video, or something like that, some other marketing, work hard, play hard. It's seen as strong and outgoing and fitnessy to work hard and play hard.

What does that end up looking like in our lives? So we're working, playing, working, playing, working, playing.

Where we're going, going, going in one direction, and then going, going, going in another. So that, in both directions, whether we're working or we're playing, we're going hard and we're over doing it.

That is not natural, first and foremost, you gotta hear this. And also that is not compassionate. Lastly, it's not sustainable.

So, it's time for you to shift your mindset around how you play, instead of working hard and playing hard, this week in particular, and forever more going forward, let's commit to working smart and playing smart. You may have heard before, "Don't work hard, work smart." But, have you also heard, "Don't play hard, play smart," right?

The two go together. In nature you never see a plant or an animal or any type of weather pattern, et cetera producing everything it could possibly do, and then dive. Right? Or completely crashing and burning. There is balance.

‪Know this: ‪‪“Work hard, play hard” is not natural, compassionate or sustainable. Shift your #mindset to work smart AND play smart, every day.

Think of ocean waves, there is a constant ebb and flow, and because of that there is perpetual motion of the waves washing on the shore. There are seasons, cycles of energy, cycles of temperature, and weather, et cetera that allows for life to perpetuate. There are life cycles where it's a constant.

Your breath is going in and going out, if you only exhaled, what happens? That's what happens. Right?

That is not natural. And that is not compassionate, and that is not sustainable. So we want you to shift your mindset around how you play. So, working smart, you're a smart cookie, I'm sure you're already working smarter.

Right? You've got life hacks going, you may have hired people or are in the process of looking for people to help you out with texts.

You've got your kids, they cook and they wash clothes. You're working smart, great. Let's turn it up another notch and get you playing smart. So what would that look like? This is a two way conversation, I'm not just teaching at you. Right? This is for your inspiration. Some examples, and I want you to post below, how do you play smart?

For this week in particular, I would highly recommend that you intersperse play throughout your day. How can you make your morning and evening commute more playful? How can you add more playful elements to your work space, or even to your meetings?

How can you add more playful elements to your home life and your personal spaces, or your interactions with your friends? How can you bring play in?

For some people that's enjoying toys. Just bringing in something silly, like a slinky and leaving it on your desk at work for people to play with while their talking to you. Right? Or it could be a funny game that you play with your family. It could be enjoying exercise and movement in the middle of the day. Have recess when you go for lunch. Right? Or, listening to comedy as you drive to and from work.

Here's the thing. Remember what we said the first week, reason why we're doing this is so that you have stamina for the marathon of life, stamina for the marathon of pursuing and living your passion and purpose. So, the more play that you integrate throughout the day, the lower your crankiness and resentfulness about going and doing your day to day work will be, because you're having fun.

That's your challenge for this week. How can you integrate more play? I don't care how old you are or how crusty, crunchy, crotchety, crumply, you are, all the crunchy sounds. I don't care, figure it out. You deserve to play and enjoy every day, rather than once in a blue moon, have some fun.

Know every single day there can be play. How can you integrate more playfulness into your wardrobe, into your marketing materials? To all my entrepreneurs. How can you integrate more playfulness into your day to day life as an essential vitamin, an essential mineral in your daily diet?

The oracle cards for the week? The romance angels oracle cards deck. Angels, what do we need to know right now about playing? Positive playfulness. Playing smart.

Oh la la. Oh la la. Passion. Something's throbbing, oh my. Allow your heart and soul to sing with joy. Passion, this is where we're going to leave off for the week.

If your relationship with yourself, yourself first, has lost the fire and the flame and the sparkle, the sense of fun and adventure that you used to have, that creative inspiration or sparkle, if you lost your passion or your mojo, or your juice, however you say it, if you've lost your passion, here's how you start. Here's how you start. Allow your heart and soul to sing with joy. Allow yourself to insert more joy into your day to day.

How are you going to do it? Comment below. Send me an email back. Make sure you subscribe on YouTube so that you get these love letters first, every week. I'm so excited to see how you play. All right we'll see you next week. Bye.
