<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Raise it. It's time for you to raise your zero. This week in particular. </span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Now, the guides say that whenever you're watching this, doesn't matter what time or day that you are watching this, but this week that you are experiencing is going to be rather emotionally charged for you. </span><span class="s1">You're going to be around a lot of people who have a lot of emotional energy for some reason. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>You're going to be feeling a lot of emotional energy yourself this week in particular. Whenever you're watching this video, doesn't matter when, right, but this is a time of high emotional energy.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">How you show up during these times of high emotional energy determines how you experience these times.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Now it doesn't mean that life is always intense and it's hard. Maybe you did your protect yourself. No, no, no, no. This is more about raising your awareness of how you show up to your life during high emotional times in your life. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>The guides say you clicked play on this video in particular because it's going to be one of those weeks.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Whether it's high emotion like on the joyful end of the spectrum, or a high emotion on the crusty crabby side of the spectrum.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong> What matters most is how you feel. What matters most is how you feel. That doesn't mean being selfish but instead we want to emphasize and capitalize the word how. What matters most is how you feel so how you show up is determined by how or the generation behind, the techniques behind your feelings.</strong> </span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> With that everybody has a set point, a zero, that they show up naturally to life with. Maybe your zero facial expression is bored, flat, relaxed. You may feel inwardly that yeah I feel relaxed. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">As I relax all the muscles of my face yes, but what that also projects however, is a I'm not trying. I'm not trying. I'm not on. I'm not generating right now and that's perfectly fine.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong> What matters most is how you are feeling in that relaxed face or zero point mindset. Are you in that moment resting yourself and being at ease at your zero because you feel peaceful or because you don't care?</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Or are you resting all the muscles of your face because you feel pleasured in different parts of your body and you're focusing on those pleasurable spaces? Or are you in pain and you just want to numb yourself, right?</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> What matters most is how you feel. Find your zero wherever your vibrational set point is, your normal and raise it. Move your zero up the scale so that zero would be where maybe a two is instead. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Maybe a two is the sense of there's a slight smile and a lifted eyebrow if you saw the difference, right? Zero before. Zero now. Right? There's a slight difference there. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">When we move our zero physiologically that also has psychological effect on how we show up.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> This is going to come in really handy this week in particular because you're going to be surrounded by people who their normal and their vibrational set point is low, worried, angry, walls up or it could be intense or controlling or needy. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Just high emotion, like strong emotionally charged or pleasing. Pleasing is their normal. Whoa. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong> For you, you've got to move your zero to a space of power no matter where you're at.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is actually an advanced form of self-protection so my guides are saying, <em>"Pull a card Victoria."</em> Pull a card. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">You may recognize all of these techniques from a former love letter but guides say it's important for you to be reminded do it again. Do it more. Turn up the volume on where your zero point is this week in particular.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> The oracle cards for the week are the Archangel Michael. Oracle cards deck. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">What do we need to know Archangel Michael about moving our zero? </span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><em>Your children are watched over by the angels.</em> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">I'm getting this feeling of deja vu. It's interesting. The prayer on the card is, <em>"Dear Guardian Angels of my children born and unborn. Thank you for watching over my children and ensuring their happiness and safety. Please guide me so that I know the best ways to be a good parent and role model for my own and other people's children."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> This is where we're going to leave off this week. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>If you are a parent, yes it's important for you to know that your children are safe and it's for you to move your normal of your zero set point around your children and what you think about them from being worried, concern and following to trusting at ease.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Moving from worried, concern, controlling to trust and at ease. Try to move your zero. See if you can. Just experiment. Just this week in particular.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong> If you don't have children, this is more about either your inner child or your projects, right? Your business projects. Your social projects.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Things that you're working on and have created out in life. Know that you don't have to be on worry, control, concern with your inner child and feeling safe personally or worry, control, concern on your business or the projects that you're working on professionally or socially but instead move to trust, belief and at ease.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong> See how this week in particular what it feels like to move your zero. What is your expectation? How do you rest this week? Move it.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Just see if you can move it because when you shift the foundation of all your feelings and your emotions, right, you lift the foundation of the entire house, right? The entire structure of who you are shifts if you start from your zero set point. </span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Have things been feeling a bit grey and boring lately? </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Things can get very heavy as we're focused on work, or other people, and our relationships, or as being the anniversary of us having lost someone, etc.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Source is sending some inspiration your way for this week in particular.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong> It is: flirt with the world! You ready? Let's do this, okay.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Flirting, and this is not necessarily, like, <em>"Okay, we're going to get all in everybody's pants."</em>&nbsp;No, no, no, no. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Flirting is simply having fun and making light. Making light, where there was darkness, making light. Lightening the mood, having a sense of humor, silliness, adventure, cheekiness, right?</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Flirt with the world. Perhaps it's that mid-day slump, and you're feeling low on energy. It's time to do something silly. The way that you flirt with the world is not even necessarily with anybody else. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">Guess what? It's with you first. How in the world does one flirt with themselves? We could hold up a mirror and we're like, <em>"Oh, my. Look at you."</em></span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Whatever makes you want to laugh, or if it's making a silly face, right? Something that makes you want to laugh. Bring the joy to your life. Don't wait for someone else to bring it to you. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Here's the thing that can make relationships, whether they're intimate or platonic go really, dead, boring, whether it's your relationship with another person, or even your business, right.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> You wait for the other half of the relationship, right? The business, the person, the child, the animal, et cetera, to always be on, or you'll lean on and depend, the other side, to be flirtatious, fun, silly, adventurous, and spontaneous, right? We'll fall into that kind of a routine.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Come on! Pick the ball up! You can do this. Stacey Martino and Paul Martino who are at relationshipdevelopment.org rock, and they really master on sharing about relationships, and bringing the spark, or as they call, the s-flirt, back to our relationships. Go check them out, by the way. Have so much love and respect for them. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">This week in particular, it's about you, however. Bring the flirt in you back. Flirt with your reflection.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Flirt with people at the party. Just make jokes and laugh. Try yourself out. You really can. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Now, I'm getting some kickback in the energy right now, I don't know who is watching this and being like, <em>"Girl, you done gone off the deep end"</em>, or, <em>"I don't know how to flirt."</em>&nbsp;If you have a sense of humor, or if you've ever laughed at something, yeah, you can flirt.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> It's having a sense or the ability to laugh at yourself, and engage, and be spontaneous, and bring that energy out. Bring the joy. How do you bring joy? If you were to flirt with someone. It's not just like a, "Da da da". No, no, no. This is not seduction flirting. This is just having fun and being silly. Another way that you can find yourself flirting if you're not used to it, is maybe with a baby.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> You're sort of, "Hey, sweetheart! How are you! Oh, my gosh, look at you." The weird, gooey things that we do to those poor children, and puppies, and kittens, et cetera. Whatever makes you laugh. This week in particular, though, you are being called on by source to make light. I'm not just talking about making light and joking about a situation, even if it's quite heavy, right, but to bring light as a light worker.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is pretty ninja, I didn't know that they were going to pull that out. We're coming from, like, the fifth dimension now, fifth level conversation right now. Protect yourself from harsh or fear-based energies by envisioning a cocoon of healing light surrounding you.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Here's where we're going to leave off. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Bringing light, making light, flirting with the world, and just deciding to have fun all by yourself, with yourself, is actually an advanced form of energetic protection.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is psychic self defense, on the sneaky side. My students and I, we have this expression, we call it <em>"the sneaky reiki"</em> that we do in the background. That's actually one of the sneaky reiki, this under the radar techniques for actually shielding your energy from negativity, is actually bringing joy and bringing light.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong> Raising the vibrations. Start with you first. Flirt with yourself. Enjoy yourself as if you were someone that you were flirting with, who you really liked.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Blessed be if you're someone who is not exactly comfortable with yourself, but pretend that you're hot to trot, and you're the funniest thing on the planet, and you're going to laugh at whatever in the heck you're about to say next. Try it on for size. Do an experiment, right?</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong> Don't commit, fine. Don't commit, just test, see if you like it, and notice how your vibration raises, and you end up actually rising above all the Krusty Krab negativity that could be floating around you. It'll just, <em>"whoop",</em> repel off.</strong> </span></p>

<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">For the next four weeks, you and I are going to go on a deep dive into what is grounding. </span></strong></p>

<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1"> We're going to start, this is week one by the way, so we're going to start on what exactly is grounding and why is that important? Why are we talking about the ground, Victoria? What in the world does that have to do? </span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> Chances are if you've clicked play on this video, that means that you are empathic. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Alright, so in order to understand the importance of having a regular grounding practice, you also need to understand what exactly is an empath? </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>An empath is someone who picks up ambient emotional data in a way that is more than five sensual.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Right, so Aristotle says that we have five senses. Sight, sound, taste, touch, smell. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">Most experts nowadays, actually agree that we have between 16 and 23 regular senses, such as magnetoception, thermoception, proprioception, those sorts of things. </span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> By the way, magnetoception is being able to sense magnetism, right? Or you put two magnets together, and you can sense that. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Thermoception is being able to sense temperature, right? This lamp is warm and this, you know, other thingy is cold. Proprioception is being able to tell where your limbs are. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">So, I know right now, that my feet are below my head because I can have my proprioception sense. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> So, there are more than just five senses. Now, we're not talking about like, the sixth sense. I see dead people, sorts of thing. No, actually. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">When we're talking about the empathic sense, it's simply the sense that picks up ambient emotional data. </span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is the sense that: </span></p>

<ul>
 	<li class="p1"><span class="s1"><em>"Something's wrong,"</em></span></li>
 	<li class="p1"><span class="s1"><em>"This person is not feeling well"</em></span></li>
 	<li class="p1"><span class="s1"><em>"This is feeling a little bit off,"</em></span></li>
 	<li class="p1"><span class="s1"><em>"Ooh, something good's about to happen."</em> </span></li>
</ul>
<span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>Right? This emotional sense. Those are all emotional reads of ambient data in the energetic field.</strong> </span>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"> So, here's the thing. Just like with any of our more mundane Aristotelian senses, right? Sight, sound, taste, touch, smell. The empathic sense can be underdeveloped, overdeveloped, right? </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Can be normal but just gets broken down a bit with wear and tear and overuse, or it can even be a bit weak over time from underuse even though it's generally healthy. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>The same way that if you keep your eyes closed for a really long time in a bright space, when you open them up they're a bit shocked. Right? The muscles strain.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">It's kind of hard to perceive dimension, shape, form, color, et cetera with your eyes because they have to adjust, right? There's an adjustment period. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Or, for a nose that's extra sensitive, can't really be around people that wear certain colognes and so on and so forth. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong> So there are some people who have overdeveloped senses, some people have underdeveloped senses.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">And then there are those of us who like, we have our normal senses but they congested or overstimulated from time to time. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>The same goes for the empathic sense. But, what if you have to blow your nose, so to speak for your empathic sense? How does that work? Grounding, yay!</strong> </span></p>

<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Grounding is essentially the regularized practice of clearing and managing your empathic systems. Now your empathic sense systems within your energetic field, have an influence on your emotions.</strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">They have an influence on your physical body. They have an influence on how you manifest things. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">But the grounding practice, in particular, is different ways of maintaining the health of your empathic sense. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Now there are ways to ground physically, mentally and emotionally, and spiritually as well.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">If you want a very, very big list of ways, and ways for also to assess yourself, I would highly recommend if you haven't gotten it yet, my book <em>Natural Intuition Now: Uplevel your life by awakening your innate spiritual senses.</em> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is book one for beginners. There's a whole chapter, the largest one in the book, is actually dedicated to this subject. Grounding.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>Now to end the final point, right, on this video is I would like to make a bit of a parallel between grounding in your emotional and empathic bodies, and your electrical body and electrical systems.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Dun dada! Introducing, a plug and a socket, right? This is the plug. This is the socket. Yes? </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">So listen to me, not only on the engineering side, but also on the energetic side as well as I describe this to you.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">In any electrical system in a house, there are these plugs. </span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">You know, if you're trying to plug your lamp in. Hello, lamp. Right? This one in particular, has two prongs. Positive, negative currents flow through those two prongs and that's what creates a basic electrical current. It's positive and negative here, so you know, just look at one of these. Positive and negative.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Now, it's the contrast that allows for the energy to flow through and to them. That contrast is necessary. The yin and the yang causes universal movement. Yes, yes? Right?</strong> </span></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">But what happens if a system is not grounded is that if there is a disturbance in the electrical field, such as a lightning storm, right? Lightning, pow! Strikes the house. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">It disturbs the grid and can actually cause a surge of energy to come through an even, maybe this has happened to you? </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Bust the light bulbs, the lights go out, or the circuit breaker trips. The circuit breaker is actually there as a fail safe, to make sure that the house doesn't catch on fire.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">But if that wasn't there, it absolutely would have. Right? Because there's too much energy flowing through here. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">It's suppose to be flowing in a constant, constant, constant stream. Positive, negative. Positive, negative. That's how we generate electricity.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The point of having a ground, right? </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>This third hole on a plug, is actually, when you plug that machine in, whatever it is, it has to have a ground because it pulls more energy than the average two prong machine.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">So if I'm plugging in my phone to charge or a lamp to turn it on and use it, that only pulls a certain number of amps. However, if I'm looking to use a jackhammer, a shop vac, a fridge, or a washing machine, these types of machines pull a lot more amps and voltage than a two prong machine would. And because of that, there is higher amounts of electricity.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Now positive, negative currents are a bit unstable. The way that they're stabilized is by having a ground, having that third hole, that third prong.</strong></span> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">And what this does, it's neither positively or negatively charged. It literally threads through the building, through the electrical grid, and into the dirt, is where it goes. That's it. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">So, this is your relationship, whether you are a machine or, now we're talking about us, a person. This is your relationship to nature. To your neutral. To zero.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The point of being grounded, is so that when there are excess amounts of energy flowing through your system, whether you're a machine or a person, they instead of overloading your system, they get sucked into the ground and neutralized so that the work can continue. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>So grounding is especially important for those of us who are highly empathic. We're taking in a lot of emotional data.</strong> </span></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Maybe our sense, if you're watching if you're like me, is more sensitive than the average bear. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Maybe you pick up on more people's feelings. More of your clients get to you. Those commercials of like the animals and stuff, you can't take it because you just feel the emotion in your body. Right? Maybe you can't even be in crowds because it's just too much energy. Right? Too much empathic energy for you to process.</span></strong></p>

<p>Carrying excessive emotional energy can be exhausting, and we often carry way more than we're even conscious of; it especially shows up in how you feel during moments that should be quiet and peaceful (but are antsy or worry-filled, instead).</p>
<p>Over the years, I've researched and come across countless mental and spiritual exercises to alleviate stress and anxiety, and Spirit has asked us to share one with you this week.</p>

<p style="text-align: right;"><em><span style="color: #800080;"><b>"<strong>I just can't turn off. I'm always on! HELP!</strong>"</b></span></em></p>
<p><strong>This week’s video covers a technique for emotional clearing.</strong></p>
<p>As you know I love following a lot of Doreen Virtue's work as a new-age spiritual psychologist and intuitive channel.</p>
<p>In particular, Spirit said this week we should teach to the Tribe&nbsp;one of her methods called "The Archangel Michael Vacuuming" technique for clearing emotional energy.</p>
<p>There are thousands of techniques for clearing emotional energy, and they are helpful to those of us who are "always on," suffering from constant stress, anxiety and even insomnia.</p>
<p><strong>Always ready and in “fight or flight” mode? That’s because your adrenal glands are being overstimulated and overused.</strong></p>
<p>Maybe you're feeling anxious and carrying your stress with you recently, or even right now, because there was a recent fight that you had with a loved one, or you received some scathing criticism at work, or someone was just kind of a jerk and rubbed you the wrong way and you just can't get it off of your mind...</p>
<p>And it keeps replaying over and over in your head.</p>
<p>You say to yourself things like: "This is what I would've said to him if things would have went differently." And you continue to argue inside yourself.</p>
<p><strong>So we're still attached to the fight. Hours, days, weeks, months, even years after it's happened we're still carrying the emotional energy.</strong></p>
<p>Though it happened in the past, right now all the emotional energy comes out fresh because we're being triggered by the attachment we agree (in the present) to maintain (to the past offense).</p>
<p>Another way that excessive emotional energy can creep up on us is irrational fear.</p>
<p>For example: are you afraid of a certain room in the house? Like the basement? Have you assigned your dark basement the title of "haunted" or generally creepy? LOL!</p>
<h2>Know This: <span style="color: #008080;">You are in charge of how you feel right now. And you can&nbsp;choose to feel better.&nbsp;#takecharge #stressedout</span></h2>
<p>The truth is, you give the basement it's creepy power over your emotions. Even if it is actually haunted, you don't have to feel afraid of or victimized by that!</p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>If emotional energy is dominating your life, then that means YOU are carrying it around with you – re-upping it, reintegrating it, reactivating things that are done and over with. </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>And it’s up to YOU, and nobody else, to change that.</strong></span></p>
<p>You can start by clearing some of it out. And a wonderful technique for doing that is the Archangel Michael Vacuuming meditation.</p>
<p><strong>HOW TO DO IT:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Ask&nbsp;Archangel Michael, "Please be vacuum out my negative emotions&nbsp;right now."</li>
<li>Visualize him just above you with a huge healing vacuum in his hands.</li>
<li>See him&nbsp;sucking up all of the negative and dark emotional energy that is in your body, starting at the top of your head, down to your feet.&nbsp;The more you watch him do this, using your imagination, the better it works.</li>
<li>Then ask Archangel Michael, "Please bring your healing white light hose, and fill me in with healing white light. Dense, healing, high vibrational energy."</li>
<li>Visualize him with&nbsp;a fire hose filling your entire body in; the light comes out of it like marshmallow, very thick, very dense. Start again from the top of your head, down to your feet.</li>
<li>Once it's completed, say "thank you and so it is." And you're done!</li>
</ol>
<p>The point is to play with your inner child while doing this.</p>
<p>This is not that serious, people!</p>
<p>Don't miss out on the power of this meditation right now because of your ego, growling <em>“Grr! I’m a board-certified lawyer skeptic person and I hate marshmallows and angels are ridiculous! Gimmie my Xanax and forget this froo-froo BS!"</em></p>
<p><strong>Relax, because the more playful and imaginative you are, the less stress and overwhelm you are capable of carrying, and the less stress you put on your adrenals.</strong></p>
<p>On the other hand, you may be reading this and feel totally cool with angels, fairies, unicorns and rainbows.</p>
<p>If that's you, then High Five!</p>
<p>BUT WATCH IT!</p>
<p>As you're seeing Archangel Michael do a very detailed job, getting every single crevice completely saturated with healing white light until it is completely done, make sure that you're JUST watching, you're not taking the nozzle and doing it for him.</p>
<p><strong>Just observe, let go, let him do his work. You can TRUST him. He happens to be an Archangel you know. They kinda know what they're doing.</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<h2><em><strong>Do you often crave sweets, especially chocolates, cookies and cakes?</strong></em></h2>
<p><em><strong>And when you eat, do you eat until you're stuffed and tired?</strong></em></p>
<p>Or worse yet, you stuff yourself and still end up reaching for more food, eating to fill what feels like an emptiness in you, rather than hunger.</p>
<p>If this is you now, or if you have ever struggled with having a healthy relationship with food, you need to understand that this is a symptom of spiritual imbalance.</p>
<p><span id="more-418"></span></p>
<p>When you eat to stuff or numb your Self emotionally, your energy is stuffed and numbed out, and this affects your connection to Spirit. You are basically telling your Self: "I'm tired. Shut up. You don't matter as much as what I have to do right now. Eat this cookie and be quiet."</p>
<p><strong>Let's go deeper. I want you to see what your Spirit is going through. </strong></p>
<p>What if for a moment, you saw your emotions, the stress you feel that you want to suppress, as a defenseless newborn baby? Naturally, she cries when something is needed, because she doesn't know how to speak to you yet.</p>
<p>Then imagine that when she cries, in fact every time she cries, this is your response: "I'm tired. Shut up. You don't matter as much as what I have to do right now. Eat this cookie and be quiet."</p>
<p>And you keep repeating this over and over.</p>
<p>Cookies, chips, brownies, cakes, cupcakes, coffee.</p>
<p>She is bloated and silent.</p>
<p>Now you can get back to that email...</p>
<h3>Know this:<span style="color: #008080;"><strong> Stuffing -  or emotional eating - is a sign of spiritual disconnect, because you have temporarily confused self-indulgence with self-care. #BK2YS</strong></span></h3>
<p><strong>There is more Love than grief in this.</strong><br />
Because it shows you that right now, you are actually an energyworker. Yes, really!</p>
<p>Every time you ingest food, you do a form of energywork on your body. And<strong> your body is devoted to you</strong>, so she - or he - receives the energy you send and then runs with it, raising or lowering your vibration obediently.</p>
<p><strong>So what kind of energywork are you doing on your Self when you eat? </strong>There's all kinds of energywork, light and dark. Some modalities heal and raise your vibration, others are specifically for draining and attacking.Ask your Self this the next time you reach for that cookie or cupcake: "What kind of energywork am I about to do on my Self?"</p>

		I was watching a recorded discussion of <a href="http://live.huffingtonpost.com/r/segment/holiday-stress-management/50ce34a378c90a45c1000144" target="_blank">"Forced Merriment" on the Huffington Post Live</a> today and thought of you. (Full video embedded below.) Are you genuinely happy during the holidays? For some it can feel like we are embarking on The Most *Difficult* Time of the Year.</p>
<p>The holidays are fast approaching and now's the time to be proactive about building up your mental and spiritual health in preparation for them. Don't wait until you're having a panic attack - turkey baster in hand - to consider starting some anti-stress habits and exercises.</p>
<p>Here are a 3 tips to get you started building your anti-stress habits for the holidays:</p>

<h3>Anti-Stress Habits for the Holidays:</h3>
<p><strong>1.</strong> <strong>Be Kind to Yourself, First.</strong> What does this mean? I know I say this all the time in class and in sessions, but it essentially boils down to this: Practice Non-Judgement - Refuse to be Perfect, Choose to be Honest. Somewhere along the line <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/merissa-bury/perfectionism_b_2457599.html" target="_blank">we have adopted this crazy notion that being perfect is an acceptable and attainable goal</a>, and that once we achieve perfection, we can finally be happy and it will make everyone finally approve of and respect us. Well I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you'll never be perfect. Instead, be Honest about how you feel and what you care about, no matter how messy or awkward it gets, and no matter who is visiting for dinner. Honesty and Authenticity command respect naturally, and if you've decided that you're here to live your most authentic life - in order to do that to the fullest - you'll have to actively practice Honesty. So start now.</p>
<p><strong>2.</strong> <strong>Meditate.</strong> The <a href="http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052748704896104575140011148266470" target="_blank">AMA recommends a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise a day</a> to maintain your <em>physical</em> health, however what are you doing daily to fortify your <em>mental</em> health? A healthy, nonreactive mindset raises your quality of life dramatically, but it can only be cultivated over time - similar to effective weight loss and maintenance: as you consistently exercise each day the big results begin to show and stick. Regular meditation builds a relaxation reflex that keeps you calm and less emotionally reactive throughout each day, which can prove invaluable when your overbearing sister-in-law starts getting on your nerves over Thanksgiving Dinner. <a href="http://www.victoriawhitfield.com/?page_id=6" target="_blank"><em>Can't seem to meditate? I have live individual and group meditation options for you, as well as recorded meditations that you can enjoy on your own time.</em></a></p>
<p><strong>3. Make Yourself Laugh, Often.</strong> They say <a href="http://dsc.discovery.com/tv-shows/curiosity/topics/10-reasons-why-laughing-good-for-you.htm" target="_blank">laughter is good for your health</a>, but why wait for something funny to happen to laugh? If you tend to have road rage while traveling or find yourself making yourself more and more anxious when you even think about seeing the family over Christmas / Hanukkah vacation, chances are you are missing out on a good laugh. Whenever you feel pissed or anxious, try to remember one of the funniest things that ever happened to you, or one of the funniest comedy routines or movies you ever saw, and begin to relive it. Allow yourself some time to laugh like a total idiot - don't worry about what others think; this one's for you and only you. Laugh when people cut you off in traffic, and think of something funny when you feel anxious - but never laugh to belittle yourself. Humor should raise your vibration and genuinely elevate you out of a rotten mood, rather than glaze over or hide your problems.</p>
