Everything in nature observes cycles.

Usually we focus on the milestones; like how there are times to give and to receive, to plant and to harvest, the "official date" when each season begins.

But what about the interim period? The transition leading up to each event, and the aftermath afterward?

When we experience a loss of any kind, or when we ask and commit to receiving more in a big way, it is totally natural for us then to go through an adjustment period that is starkly different than the pace and routine we have come to identify with thus far - aka a "detox."

Spiritual Detox releases the old - good or bad - to make room for the new, and because it is a sacred time, it demands patience, retreat and downtime.

We see this in nature all the time. For example, snakes regularly go through a process of Ecdysis or shedding of their skin as they grow and age every so often, and this can take anywhere from seven to fourteen days.

During this time, the Snake in her wisdom - even if domesticated - knows to retreat, turn inward on herself and focus only on the shedding process, taking time to seek out friction to peel away the old layer and emerge, renewed.

In fact, snakes don't hunt or eat during their shedding time, not only because they're focused on removing what is dead and old, but also because distractions, like food, can literally be dangerous to them and the process.
Why am I saying all this?

Know this: It takes courage to allow whatever is coming up for you to fully surface and process when you're detoxing. Be gentle, be open. #MLMM #BK2YS

Really allowing your detox - although painful, annoying, heartbreaking and bringing everything to a screeching halt - is necessary because this is a sacred, natural and necessary time.

The point of the Detox is always growth and progress.

Whether it is a physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental, financial, or spiritual detox, it doesn't matter. Honor yourself, and your Nature.

It's always meant to move you forward, and because of that, there's Love in there for you, if you have the courage to go deep within, and find it <3
