<p>My spirit guides are saying to watch out this week for rushing yourself, because that is fueling your pattern of self sabotage.</p>

<p>In an alternate, negative universe, everybody wins when you sabotage your own progress, and everybody wins when you are distracted.</p>



<p>You win because you are off the hook and don't have to deal with upsetting your status quo.<br>Others win for the same reason; they are let off the hook not having to deal with you upsetting their status quo.</p>



<p>And, anyone who is seeking power and control over you and others wins, because the less progress you make, and the less you have the ability to focus, the more you are a compliant pawn in helping them realize their agenda.</p>



<p>My spirit guides say that if you are reading this email though, the above idea makes your skin crawl, because the last thing you want is to be somebody else's pawn, let alone make no progress and have everything remain the same.<br><br>You and me both!<br><br>But if that's the case, then why are you allowing yourself to be distracted so often, especially while doing what you love or spending time with people you love?&nbsp;<br><br>I'll tell you why: focus is a CHOICE and a skill to be developed.</p>

<p>Technology rewards us for handing over our ability to make our own choices on what to pay attention to because we are currently living in the Age of Attention.<br>Read that sentence again.</p>



<p>Notifications, pop ups, funnels, commercials, apps, ai-driven data results, social media doom scrolling, algorithms, tracking cookies and ads guide our decisions on what to focus on through a constant stream of interruptions.</p>



<p>Calculated colors, sounds, branding, haptics (the vibrations of your device), editing and catchy sayings stimulate our senses to trigger pleasure sensations in the brain and associate Their Choice with pleasure.&nbsp;</p>



<p>This influences what we focus on, without us even knowing most of the time.</p>



<p>And, "wherever your awareness goes, energy flows" so that means your energy is being siphoned away from what you want to focus on and instead to Their Choice for you to focus on, so that your energy can fuel the realization of Their agenda.</p>



<p>Who are "They"? It doesn't matter; They are not YOU.</p>



<p>Just for today, focus on YOU and Your unique point of view, on moving the needle forward on Your agenda and choosing Your Choice.</p>

<p>So why do we worry so much?</p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This week, the question is: Why so worried?</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Why are you so worried? It would be really easy for me to just tell you, <em>"Stop worrying! Don't worry anymore. Let it go. Release it. Release the hounds of your worry,"</em> but that's not what I've been guided to relay to you this week in particular.</strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Instead, this is a digging week, a journaling week, a self-reflection, internal, introspection week.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Why so worried? Perhaps you are someone who other people have called, or you self-identify as, <em>"I'm a worry wart. I worry about my kids. I worry about my business. I worry about the economy. I worry about my health. I worry about my boyfriend,"</em> or <em>"I worry about my pets. I worry about what I'm going to make for dinner tonight."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">Perhaps you self-identify as, <em>"I'm a worry wart,"</em> or other people might have said, <em>"Oh she's always worrying all the time."</em></span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Maybe your husband or your wife, your significant other has said that about you, you know, your partner. Maybe, in business, the other person is like the visionary, creative risk-taker, and you're the worrier. <em>"How are we going to do this? Let me look at all the metrics and get into the nuts and bolts of things."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Worry is suffering.</strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">I'm sorry to have to be the one to break that to you, but worrying is a form of suffering, so the more that you identify with being a worry wart, or being someone who worries a lot, the more you identify with having a life that is driven by your suffering, by the way you identify that.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">It's not something that anybody else puts on you. I know this is a little bit tough to hear, but I want you to know this because I care about you.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The guides are also saying worse yet, you may be someone who associates worry with caring. If worry, under our definition currently, is suffering, that means you associate suffering with caring, or better yet, love with suffering. There's this sense of, <em>"Oh gosh,"</em> fear of being in intimate relationships because, <em>"What if I care too much? What if it ends?"</em> And we begin to worry about that.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Suffering before anything has happened, or before there is any proof of something to legitimately take care of and respond to.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Be kind to yourself. If this is you, I know this is tough to hear if this is you. I'm feeling a lot of tense energy coming through as we're channeling.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">When we are worrying, we are actually managing and creating a sense of felt control and influence on an object, or a person, or something, a situation that it's impossible to control or manage.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>Take, for example, love. When we worry, we create this connection through the management of how we feel and how we think things are going to go for them.</strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Like, <em>"Oh what if this happens, and what if this happens, and what if this happens?"</em> Because you've suffered your way through all of the imaginary possible situation and scenarios. Get ready for this.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">It gives you a sense of significance, whereas without that, all that suffering and imagining all of that, you wouldn't feel, for some reason, secure or significant to that person that you care about.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Did you know that you are so special that, in fact, you don't have to be responsible for figuring out every future by yourself, especially if you're worrying about somebody else. Include them. Hello? </span><span class="s1">Share what's on your heart.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">Why so worried? Why do you associate and root your sense of significance as a human being, or as a mother, or as a lover, or as an owner? Why do you associate your significance with worry, and your ability to envision and create possible negative outcomes?</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Don't blame it on anybody. I just heard somebody say, <em>"Well, my mother worried all the time, or my father."</em> Oh my God. <em>"He was always worried about the next thing."</em> What next? Resist the urge to blame it on someone. This is a journaling opportunity. The guides, now, are calling, <em>"Read the oracle cards."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Angel Therapy is the oracle cards deck for this week. I know this is a touchy, kind of squishy subject, but you've got to hear it.</strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is what they said. Angels, please tell us. What do we need to know about worrying? Why? Why do we worry so much? What do we need to know? Get ready for this. Heal away addictions.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The guides just said, <em>"This is a big reason why you cannot blame your parents, your society, or your community for your identity as a worrier."</em> That's your addiction.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">This is not to blame the victim. Instead I want you to know you have power to shift the story of your life, and the story of who you are. You don't have to be worried all the time. You don't have to be <em>"the worrier."</em> There's more to life than suffering through her.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><em>"It's time to let go of behaviors that are blocking you from your heart's desire. Ask Archangel Raphael to help you with this healing."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">I'm just going to do this in behalf of you.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><em><span class="s1">Archangel Raphael, for whoever is watching right now- Whoo, the energy. For whoever is watching right now who is filled with worry, or who identifies as being a worrier, I ask that you surround this person, or people, with your healing green light and infuse their heart with your healing energy. Thank you. I feel your presence so strong right now. Lift the worry out of them. Take it away, and we give all of our worries over to you, over to Source, over to God, knowing that we are never alone in that which concerns us. We ask that you heal the identity around worry, and that we be released to a higher vibration, from being the worrier to being the communicator, the connector. Let us come out of our caves and into the world to shine our light in the way that we have been built to in this lifetime, and so it is.</span></em></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Like, <em>"Oh what if this happens, and what if this happens, and what if this happens?"</em> Because you've suffered your way through all of the imaginary possible situation and scenarios. Get ready for this. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">It gives you a sense of significance, whereas without that, all that suffering and imagining all of that, you wouldn't feel, for some reason, secure or significant to that person that you care about.</span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Did you know that you are so special that, in fact, you don't have to be responsible for figuring out every future by yourself, especially if you're worrying about somebody else. Include them. Hello? </span><span class="s1">Share what's on your heart. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">Why so worried? Why do you associate and root your sense of significance as a human being, or as a mother, or as a lover, or as an owner? Why do you associate your significance with worry, and your ability to envision and create possible negative outcomes?</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Don't blame it on anybody. I just heard somebody say, <em>"Well, my mother worried all the time, or my father."</em> Oh my God. <em>"He was always worried about the next thing."</em> What next? Resist the urge to blame it on someone. This is a journaling opportunity. The guides, now, are calling, <em>"Read the oracle cards."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Angel Therapy is the oracle cards deck for this week. I know this is a touchy, kind of squishy subject, but you've got to hear it.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This is what they said. Angels, please tell us. What do we need to know about worrying? Why? Why do we worry so much? What do we need to know? Get ready for this. Heal away addictions. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The guides just said, <em>"This is a big reason why you cannot blame your parents, your society, or your community for your identity as a worrier."</em> That's your addiction. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">This is not to blame the victim. Instead I want you to know you have power to shift the story of your life, and the story of who you are. You don't have to be worried all the time. You don't have to be <em>"the worrier."</em> There's more to life than suffering through her.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><em>"It's time to let go of behaviors that are blocking you from your heart's desire. Ask Archangel Raphael to help you with this healing."</em> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">I'm just going to do this in behalf of you. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><em><span class="s1">Archangel Raphael, for whoever is watching right now- Whoo, the energy. For whoever is watching right now who is filled with worry, or who identifies as being a worrier, I ask that you surround this person, or people, with your healing green light and infuse their heart with your healing energy. Thank you. I feel your presence so strong right now. Lift the worry out of them. Take it away, and we give all of our worries over to you, over to Source, over to God, knowing that we are never alone in that which concerns us. We ask that you heal the identity around worry, and that we be released to a higher vibration, from being the worrier to being the communicator, the connector. Let us come out of our caves and into the world to shine our light in the way that we have been built to in this lifetime, and so it is.</span></em></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This week it's&nbsp;time for you to share your story. It's time. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>In the energy I'm hearing that you had a story that you've been burying in you heart. Holding close to you, one that&nbsp;is the story of&nbsp;who you are, how you created who you are. From a personal development standpoint, right?</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">There is a story of how you overcame and also what you're going through now, right? What your challenges are now. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>That story, you've been burying down, hiding from others to make sure that others feel safe in your presence that they feel like they can shine while you watch them and shine vicariously through them.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">You're not going to let your story out because it's hard to tell the truth. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>It's hard to own your story, or even see your story as something that is a consistent string that has a moral to it or a message to it.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">It's said, perhaps we're at the moment where we're seeing our stories just like a system of events and random experiences that have happened to us instead of a string of pearls that have been arranged for us.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>Source says your story, should you choose to share it, can heal someone. In fact not just one person, but many.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">You have permission to shine, permission to speak and permission to be contagious. Yeah. Permission to be contagious. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">It's important that you speak, share your energy.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>We all need to hear about your gift, how you overcame because when we hear the perspectives of others, speaking from the perspective of the community. When we hear others stories it's inspiring, it's intriguing, it's connecting, right?</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">We all have a story and this week in particular some how in some way you are going to be challenged, the opportunity is going to come to you to share your story. I'm behind you saying, <em>"Go for it! Go for it! Go for it!"</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>The oracle cards this week are calling in the energy to weigh in also on this topic.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Several decks wanted to come forward, so we had to like say, <em>"All right, one at a time, who is really going to speak this week?"</em> The one that shone the brightest in the energy was actually the Crystal Oracle. Our stone family is coming to help ground your ability to speak with some good Earth energy. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Speaking of grounding, Red Jasper, oh my gosh!</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">They&nbsp;didn't even let me shuffle. They said, <em>"Pull the bottom card."</em> Red Jasper. Let's see what this has to say. Holy Moly. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>The root chakra is red, red like Jasper, so this is a perfect card for the root chakra.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The guides are saying we're bringing forward and infusing your life with more root chakra energy, so that when you speak you speak in a grounded way. You're not wandering around and trying to make sense of your story, but instead when you share your story, it has a message to it. It's grounded, clear, not, <em>"Oh, I don't remember... blah, blah, blah."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>One way that you can clear your story for yourself first is to write it down.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">It's much more grounding to do that. To write it out before speaking it. Let's see what's going on with Jasper here. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><em><span class="s1">"Red Jasper represents nurturing caring, protection, energy flow and life force. You may soon find yourself drawn into a situation in which you feel compelled to care for and protect someone who is in need of help. This may be a person or a pet that has recently suffered some kind of trauma and is suffering from anxiety or depression. Your love and attention, your story will help them heal and simultaneously you will subconsciously heal an aspect of yourself that is also yearning to be nurtured. What is being healed is an emotional trauma you experienced in the past, possibly in your childhood, or it may even stem from a past life. There is no need to recollect the past or to try to figure anything out, remember that we each mirror one another and self healing automatically occurs when we care for another's needs. Trust in the healing power of love."</span></em></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">It looks like this is where we'll end. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>It's not that your sharing your story necessarily with the world. Someone in need of the healing wisdom that only comes through experience that you have. Someone in need of the healing wisdom that you have is going to come across your path this week.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">I urge you to have the courage to share your story with them so that both of you may be uplifted. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Them being uplifted in the hearing of your best practices and being able to learn before their situation gets worse. And you healing because you get to take what was originally a very difficult and trying situation for you and transmute it into love, encouragement and healing by sharing it with another.</span></strong></p>

<p>Inevitably though, there comes a point in everyone's healing journey where we reach a developmental plateau in helping ourselves -- and this can be particularly frustrating.</p>

<p class="p1">This week Source&nbsp;wanted to talk to you about feeling stuck in your self help, specifically cycles of self help.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>We've got books, we've got sprays, we've got candles, we've got classes and workshops and certifications, oh my!</strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">At some point it appears that we've hit a bit of a roadblock, where we're just preparing and preparing and helping ourselves and helping ourselves and helping ourselves, and nothing's really moving farther along. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;">Your strategy for this week is to practice asking. Asking for help, in particular. </span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Immediately I'm feeling some kind of prickly things in the energy from some of the Tribe who's watching right now. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Prickly thoughts like, <em>"Oh, I have this under control. I can really help myself. I have a book,"</em> or, <em>"I have a certificate, I should be able with all the knowledge that I have right now, I should be able to shift my situation on my own."</em></span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Now to some extent, absolutely, yes you can shift your situation on your own. </span><span class="s1">On your own you can make great strides. </span></strong></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">On your own you can learn the importance of taking personal responsibility and taking your own power back, and really identifying that, <em>"Yes, this is my life and I'm going to write my own story. I'm going to reinvent myself."</em> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">In fact that's a powerful strategy in and of herself: t</span><span class="s1">ell yourself, <em>"I am reinventing myself, I am rewriting my life story right now."</em></span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">However you may have been at that for a while now if you're watching this video in particular because the books like we're reading the Chopra-Oprah-Tolle-Hicks-Hay-Virtue etc.&nbsp;-- we've got everybody feeding us spiritually, which is incredible. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>We're taking in and we're taking in from incredible masters... and then we notice nothing's happening.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Privately, we think to ourselves in exasperation:</span><em><span class="s1"> "I've taken this financial abundance love attraction course and I haven't manifested enough money to really do that thing I wanted to -- pay the bills or pay off my debt. I wrote it on my goal card and it didn't happen."</span></em></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #800080;"><strong>What do you do, when we're hitting obstacles and roadblocks or feeling a sense of stagnation or being blocked?</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Here's what you do: get yourself emotionally&nbsp;ready to being willing to ask for assistance, because self help can only take you so far when you are by yourself.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Bring your problem up and out of you and into the hands of at least one other being who is open, caring, a champion for you naturally, someone who just celebrates you and who is curious about issues and helping, who loves being there to listen. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Bring it up and out of you. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong><span class="s1">For whatever reason this week in particular Source is saying it's time for you to ask for help.</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Perhaps someone, maybe even me, has been on your mind lately. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">You've been thinking:<em> "I know that I need to really reach out, but I'm going to try maybe just this one more thing,"</em> or, <em>"I'm going to try and figure this out on my own. I know I can do it, I've done it before."</em> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>At this level of your development, you need to accept that a new level is a new level. </strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">We just need to accept that sometimes reaching out is the way to go to make it past our plateau. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">I'm hearing the oracle cards calling in the energy, now. It's the Healing with the Angels oracle cards deck -- Doreen Virtue's very first oracle cards deck.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This deck in particular came forward intuitively when I asked all the decks here at the dojo who wants to help with feeling stuck on self help. </span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1" style="color: #333333;"><strong>But you cannot unlock and receive this abundance until you go out of your comfort zone and pursue it by asking.</strong> </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">That's a very open, vulnerable way of pursuing your next level, asking for the abundance which you seek. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">That's challenging, because it takes courage to ask for help, but we assure you that there, right underneath your nose is so much abundance of exactly what you need right now, down to the T. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">You are within on degree of separation. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">This week, in fact this day in particular, you're within one degree of separation of the help that you need to move to your next level, but you have to step out of your comfort zone and ask for assistance now.</span></strong></p>

<p><em>When we as spiritual seekers, sensitives and empaths start exploring psychic self-defense, it’s usually because we’ve experienced being overwhelmed or drained energetically, and we want to protect ourselves from that happening again.</em></p>
<p><em>But protecting yourself is very different than shutting down or shutting everyone out; mastering your energy entails more than taking the “all or nothing” approach to spiritual and emotional energy management.</em></p>

<p style="text-align: right;"><em><span style="color: #800080;"><b>"<strong>My precious! My PRECIOUSSSS!” – Gollum</strong>"</b></span></em></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Hi! Sensei Victoria with you here from victoriawhitfield.com for your weekly love letter. It's my last day in Negril, Jamaica at <a href="http://www.jackiesonthereef.com/">Jackie's on the Reef</a>&nbsp;and this week we are picking up on last week’s discussion of protecting your joy.</p>
<p><strong>It's very powerful to be in your joyful space, but you have to protect your joy.</strong></p>
<p>What does that mean? The first image in the energy that I get from off of the Tribe is,<em> "Well, you know, I'm not going to pay attention anybody else but me!"</em>&nbsp;Whoa there!</p>
<p>We have an impulse to block out others, or to avoid all negative stuff.&nbsp;We go overboard, thinking: <em>"I can't talk to that person, because they're crazy,"</em> or, <em>"I can't go outside, because everyone's going to steal my joy." </em></p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Let's be clear. Protecting your joy doesn't mean isolating yourself.</strong></span></p>
<p>To do so, as we said last week, the first step is to learn about what exactly is your joy and what it looks and feels like, second is to engage it actively throughout each day, and third is to apply your joy to counteract low-vibe situations and experiences.</p>
<p>Those three steps, Source is saying, are how you protect your joy, just by having an active engaging relationship with her.</p>
<p>You don't have to put her in a box and hide it in the corner, obsessing like Gollum <em>"I'm protecting my joy! My precious, my precious is safe!"</em> No, no, no, no, no.</p>
<p>The way that you protect your joy is by being with her, or being with him – however you gender your joy. (By the way, I prefer using gendered pronouns over the use of “it” because it person-alizes your relationship with each noun. <p><strong>Now I'm hearing the Oracle cards for this week calling in the energy.</strong></p>
<p>Whenever I travel I always have at least one oracle cards deck with me, and this one is <u>Wisdom of The Hidden Realms</u> by Colette Baron-Reid. It's a wonderful deck, very direct guidance, beautiful illustrations; I highly recommend it. This is a personal deck of mine, so I'm so happy to get to share this with you.</p>
<p>As always, to use oracle cards we first pray over the cards and ask Source, Spirit, and Nature to tell us what do we need to know, knowing that we are open to receiving guidance, and then we shuffle the cards.</p>
<p>I enjoy the fact that I am not the best shuffler ever; it doesn't have to be blackjack style and all that. It's a natural intuitive practice that is meant to be imperfect, and not a performance, lol!</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>The card that is coming through for this topic is “The Metal King.”</strong></span></p>
<p>This is so appropriate, because he has to do with having and cultivating discipline, armor, and boundaries.&nbsp;Here’s the accompanying reading from the book:</p>
<blockquote><p>The Metal King is strong and arrives to lend you his impenetrable shield of protection.</p></blockquote>
<p>Protect your joy! Well, I wonder why the Energy has drawn out this card? What a "coincidence." 😉 By now, you should know there's no such thing as coincidence!</p>
<p>So let's read more:</p>
<blockquote><p>No matter who sends you criticism or jealousy, you will not be hurt. This ally --</p></blockquote>
<p>Oh, someone in the Energy just stopped me there.&nbsp;Those are another two things that tend to steal our joy: being preoccupied with other people's criticism and other people's jealousy.</p>
<p><strong>Here’s the thing: if someone is critical of you, or jealous of you, that means that they notice you.</strong></p>
<p>Let's just turn that around for a second. It's OK if someone is trying to be critical of you – we're not condoning their criticism if it is harmful – however, we have to notice something in this that could increase your joy.</p>
<p><strong>Criticism and jealousy received means that you are doing something big and noteworthy.</strong></p>
<p>Use this idea as your take-away from the criticism, instead of taking on their crap, and it can cultivate and increase your joy.</p>
<p>Think instead to yourself: <em>"No, that's OK. I see that you see me, I see that you have an opinion. Go ahead over there with that. That has nothing to do with me, but I appreciate the fact that you are validating that I'm doing something big right now, or doing something noteworthy, whereas maybe you're not."</em></p>
<p><strong>Oftentimes people criticize or feel jealous of us because they don't have the drive or the confidence enough to do what you're doing, and it speaks to the insecurity within them and tugs at it.</strong></p>
<p>You're out shining brightly, whereas they're still hiding. Criticism and jealousy says more about the criticizer or the jealous person than you. So laugh, and let it go.</p>
<p>Let me continue the oracle card reading, then:</p>
<blockquote><p>This ally also prompts you to think about setting healthy boundaries. When you do, no matter how uncomfortable that task may be, everyone benefits. He asks you to make sure you know where you end and others begin. Other's emotions are NOT yours.</p></blockquote>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>By the way, that's a message straight to all of my empaths who are watching and reading right now: <em>Other's emotions are not yours.</em></strong></span></p>
<p>If you’re an empath, you may go out to places or speak to someone and then leave from them and still carry all of the energy and the emotion of that space. Let it go.</p>
<p>When you hold on to and analyze their energy in you, that's a waste of your time and energy, because our focus is on other people's problems that we're taking responsibility for emotionally and mentally.</p>
<p>Find a way to clear yourself, whether it's being outdoors, or taking a shower, or doing a mediation, writing in your journal, whatever your clearing ceremony is. If you need to know more techniques, then maybe email back or comment below, I'm happy to share.</p>

<p><strong>In the energy, Spirit is asking you to be clear about what self-esteem is for you. </strong></p>
<p>That's a bit of an overused term, I'm hearing, so let's reword that as self-awareness: a loving self-awareness, not a self-consciousness with the negative connotation.</p>
<p>You do want to be conscious, but not shrinking, putting yourself down or hiding yourself with your self-awareness.</p>
<p>Instead, draw your eye inwardly and do what we said last week: write that list out of what makes you joyful and begin interacting actively with that list.</p>
<p><strong>The act of writing that list is going to create clear boundaries organically for you, through self-knowledge.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>And self-knowledge is always empowering.</p>
<h2><strong>Know this: <span style="color: #008080;">You don't have to shut people out in order to have healthy #boundaries. &nbsp;On the contrary, being who you really are creates clear boundaries!</span></strong></h2>
<p>So many of us sensitive, loving, spiritual individuals have terrible boundary issues. I've been working on mine, so I'm included in this bunch – I am right there with you!</p>
<p>We want to help, we want to fix everybody, or we're so afraid of being overwhelmed by other's energy that we want to avoid everybody to the point where we just scream <em>"I hate people!"</em> and go lock ourselves away for a while, lol! You know?</p>
<p>Hey, I’ve been there, done that, got the t-shirt. But that's not the master path. Instead, that's letting your sensitivity, which is a gift from Spirit, run your life rather than embracing it and becoming more a partner in the experience of that energy.</p>
<p><strong>Rather than being a slave to or a victim of your sensitivity, engage your joy, know your joy, and by doing so, you will protect your joy. And the earth needs ways more joy, way more.</strong></p>
<p>I can feel the trees and the ocean and the coral reef down here at <a href="http://www.jackiesonthereef.com">Jackie’s On The Reef</a> in Negril, Jamaica agreeing, saying: "Send more joy! We're doing our best, but you're joy generators; it's very unique amongst humans.”</p>

<p>Deep down we all know that things left unsaid can slowly eat away at us. But still, we don't say anything in an effort to "keep the peace."</p>
<p>Are we&nbsp;<em>really</em> keeping the peace though if it's at the expense of our health? Because inner turmoil and repressed feelings certainly aren't healthy!</p>

<p style="text-align: right;"><span style="color: #800080;"><b>"Rock the boat!&nbsp;<strong>Don't rock the boat, baby. Rock the boat! Don't tip the boat over.</strong>"</b></span></p>
<p><strong>This week’s topic is about&nbsp;giving yourself the silent treatment.</strong></p>
<p>Why do we do that to ourselves? What does that mean?</p>
<p>When we're giving our-self the silent treatment, it means we are blocking out whatever we really want to say.</p>
<p>Perhaps there's a situation that's come up at work or at home with a loved one or your kids or friends that you've been interacting with. You feel like you just can't talk about it or you can't speak up.</p>
<p><strong>You feel like you’re out of bounds, telling yourself <em>“well, if I say that they're going to reject me” or “they're going to criticize me,” or “they're going to get emotional and I don't want to have to deal with all that.”</em></strong></p>
<p>Think about the situation now, as you read this. Do you feel like you can't speak up about what's really on your heart? Like you can't clear the air there?</p>
<p>Also, perhaps you may feel like if you do say something you're going to be singled out. And that’s the last thing you want is to be singled out as the “troublemaker” who rocked the boat or even tipped it over, right?</p>
<p><strong>We tell ourselves a million and one reasons why we should give ourselves the silent treatment and we cut off expression because we believe it’s for our own good.</strong></p>
<p><em>"It’s safer to just blend into the wallpaper." "I don't want anybody to feel like I'm making waves or that I'm getting too full of myself."</em></p>
<p>You know, in Australia my Australian friends have a name for this phenomena of giving yourself the silent treatment: it’s called the “tall poppy syndrome.”</p>
<p>In a beautiful field of poppies, if one grows taller, the gardener chops off her bloom because she stands out. So that means you shouldn't stand out too much, and anyone who does should be chopped down to size, to preserve status quo.</p>
<h2>Know This: <span style="color: #008080;">You may think you're "keeping the peace," but choosing not to speak your truth is actually a choice to do&nbsp;more harm than good to yourself and everyone involved. #speakup #clarity</span></h2>
<p>Although "tall poppy syndrome" is meant to protect the status quo, it's actually harmful, because it's based in fear. It is really just the fear of being seen and heard.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>Whenever we actively engage in or operate from fear, this is energetically -- spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, etc. -- harmful. <em>Yes, it actively does harm.</em></strong></span></p>
<p>But, wait! There's more!</p>
<p>Giving yourself the silent treatment is not only the fear of being seen.&nbsp;On the flip side, it’s also the fear of being hurt.</p>
<p><strong>Spirit says that we give ourselves the silent treatment to avoid feeling hurt, and that one way this manifests is always apologizing or back-pedaling for something that we did or said.</strong></p>
<p>At the drop of a hat, we think to ourselves, “oh crap, that fell out of my mouth toward you so let me just try and do damage control.”</p>
<p>And so, as if you have a nervous tick, you immediately say “I didn't really mean that” or are just always saying “I'm sorry, I’m sorry” and apologizing for yourself.</p>
<p>Even if you didn't do anything you want to be the first one to say I'm sorry so that you can shut it down. Shut all of the energy down.&nbsp;Control, control, control.</p>
<p><strong>So it all boils down to this: the real reason why give ourselves the silent treatment is to control our energy. But we are doing this in a dark way; it is not The Master Path for controlling our energy.</strong></p>
<p>When you shut down your expression in the energy the angels are saying that it's like being at the ocean and trying to dam up the entire ocean, along the entire beach.</p>
<p>Can you imagine a dam running all the way down the Jersey Shore, just the entire of the state, just trying to keep it at bay and not let it ebb and flow as she needs to do?</p>
<p>Rather than honoring her power and natural beauty, you intuitively know that the dam is trying to control her so only a certain amount of ocean can be present at the beach. The one that comes out of this teeny little tap right here. Ha!</p>
<p><strong>With this image, the angels are saying you’re making your power – which is like the ocean and infinite – very, very small. &nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>Painfully small.</p>
<p>Harmfully small.</p>
<p>Unnaturally small.</p>
<p><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>We need to learn how to respect and honor whatever is coming through us; to respect and honor our power and our energy.</strong></span></p>
<p>If we don't, then there are repercussions.</p>
<p>The same way that the ocean doesn't just disappear if you try to dam her up, is the same way that your energy doesn't just disappear if you clam yourself up -- it reroutes.</p>
<p><strong>Oftentimes when we tend to shut down our own expression it manifests physically with disease and discomfort.</strong></p>
<p>So, for example, do you have chronic neck and shoulder pain? Tightness of the jaw? Do you grind your teeth?</p>
<p>Or when you're stressed out, you crunch it together or do you tend to often want to chew on things? Like chewing on straws, pens and pencils or are you addicted to chewing gum?</p>
<p><strong>Oral fixations and addictions are signs of underlying spiritual issues that have to do with expression being stifled.</strong></p>
<p>If you’re addicted to smoking or drinking, don’t be judgmental, instead just notice yourself from a spiritual and energetic perspective.</p>
<p>Take notice of all of these physical manifestations in and around the throat, such as chronic ear infections, catching a cold every winter or even in the summer, etc. as not random events.</p>
<p>Put them in a spiritual context as guidance and warning signs from Spirit&nbsp;that something you are doing is out of alignment with Source.</p>
<p><strong>And what is out of alignment is your relationship with expression: you’re afraid of your truth and allowing it to flow through you.</strong></p>
<p>We're afraid to really put it out there, really allow truth -- which is Source energy -- to&nbsp;move through us. It's raw,&nbsp;it&nbsp;is beautiful. It's always healing, even if it is painful.</p>
<p>But how the heck do we start to turn this situation around then? Are there any techniques and strategies to stop giving yourself the silent treatment? YES!</p>
